New thread so everyone can see.

Talked to Mtnmax97 today. He went riding up there (I had to stay home and work on the heat pump).

He parked at Tree Phones. 4" new there. Nothing new on top. It all blew off. Ranger said they had 105 MPH winds up there last night.

Could easily find the ice layer underneath.

Still need more snow.

Hopefully we get some for our Sunday ride. Might go somewhere else.

There will be more snow!
It may only be 10" but it could be 20"

Almost a foot of new snow. Very wind blown so it's deeper in some places less in other places.
Probably rain at the snowpark tonight and in the morning.
Expect 10-18" additional snow by sunday. Maybe 1-4" at the snowpark.

Riden the Yamacat

I remember that day very well. I have a picture of that from a different angle but I can't seem to find it. What a great place to take a lunch break. Right on the side of steep sidehill. Love it.

Freezing rain early last night, heavy rain in the wee hours at the snowpark level. BUT, starting to see some snowflakes here down low, still very windy. Up high should be good, it is just getting to it...

Forecast is for dry and warmer next week, but we should see a pattern change after next weekend for a return to more normal winter weather.

Tampico Update

Near the snopark, quit snowing hard about 19:15, we have 2-3 new inches, 33F @ 22:30, partly cloudy. Forecast is for 2-4 more tonight, plus 1-3 Sunday. I think these amounts may be on the high estimate for this location.

Green Lake at 22:00 was 26F with 39", 14" new since yesterday morning.

Happy 'biling! Please report back to me on conditions, I wont be able to go tomorrow. I will contact the groomer tomorrow with any new overnight snowfall.

Only a trace of new last night, temp low 30's, very windy. Riding from the sno-park would be very marginal.
