As I sit here in Minnesota I was thinking how much is sucks that I am here and not out west enjoying the snow...but after reading this, it doesn't seem like too much fun right now.

I know I am sure loving it.
Nothing like getting 6-12" of snow every day. Just like 2-3 weeks ago. over 40" in a week.
I think I am going to take the rest of the week off work and go sledding.

Nope it is awesome. We get pounded for a day or so.. maybe even a week at a time in December, then outstanding riding. Heading at at noon today in 3-4' of fresh after one last plow of the parking lot at my business.

Best snow in years here in SW Colorado. Base is excellent. Rode on Saturday. Blue skis, no clouds, no shadows carved and climbed all day until we couldn't stand up any more.

Except for a two week pounding, most of the storms have been about 2 days of hard work, clean up, ride a day or two, and get pounded again.

Sorry to hear you're not gettting it back there.

Stay in Mn, you don't want to have the opportunity to ride in fresh pow every weekend.

It is dumping so hard here--I-90 is closed indefinetly---when we can get up the hill to enjoy it.

Over 2 feet of snow on the ground in town...the mountains in N Idaho are getting hit with 12-18 inches at a whack. We are over 10 feet of snowpack now. What a great snow year!

Best winter this year since 96-97. Every ride has been fresh pow pow and great climbing. Couldn't ask for more.....

I could actually ask for some more clear riding days, but then where would the pow come from?

you guys suck! Especially you switch, we are only getting 2-4 today in Rochester and yet it's so damned windy and flat we have a blizard watch.

I always laugh when people say they got to wait for the snow to clear.
If we get deep snow every day for a week I am going riding every other day. Not waiting for a week.
Get a couple pairs of good gogles and a couple pair of gloves and go for it. Good gogles have to be the most important part. Bring a towl or some thing to keep in the inside of your jacket so you can stop and clear them off once in awhile if you need to.
My goggles were good to go sunday and I could see good all day. the snow was a little wet so I had to wipe them off a few times with the towle. If I just wiped them off with my glove it would smear the water and distort your vision. I was riding alot of places others wouldn't or was leading the way because I could see. Riding sucks *** when you cant see or make out the terain. Couldn't hardly see our own tracks we rode in on the way back it was snowing so hard and windy. About 5-6" of snow on the truck when we got back. That was a short ride. Back to the truck at 3 since we didn't stop for lunch. Couldn't find any wear to stop and escape the wind and snow so we decided to keep riding and head back early. Great day.

This year is feenomeenaal, good snow everywhere every day, its just hard to decide where to go.

Just came back to the ranch and lookin up at Table Mountain, shes got a good dusting on top. About 900-1250' elev according to topo map. First time I've seen snow on there for a few years.

A little wet compared to last week but the pow ought to be "veer nys", too bad I'm stuck wrenchin, payrollin' and loggin all these frikkin downed trees on the ranch. Here I thought rice farmers didn't do anything all winter, for the amount of time I'm stuck here I ought to have a dealership, ehh Matty.
