Stock RX-1 Mtn, Deep Snow, New Rider ???

Taking a guy riding this weekend. he has never ridden a sled before in his life besides sitting on it, and making the "VROOOOOOOOOM" sound haha. From what i know he is a pretty good dirt bike rider.

He has a bone stock RX-1 Mtn, and the snow is suppose to be pretty deep, but, since he is a new rider to the sport, we are just planning on riding the swamps.

How good are the stock RX1's in the deep stuff? Im worried that we will be digging to China when/if he gets stuck! We are repaired though!

Remember he is a brand new rider on a RX-1. Is there any tips i should tell him about besides the obvious? Thanks. :beer;

Better have a bunjee with you.

Don't let him go into the trees.

Those sleds are way too heavy in the front. Turbos don't fix that.

I hope both of you are in good shape! Like jmcx said. Don't let him go in the trees! You might have to leave it there!;):beer;:D

If he is a rider he will understand momentum and momentum is going to be the only thing to help that big boy from augering itself in. Just tell him to keep it moving "kick that pig"
make sure he has a shovel and a BUNJIE is a great idea.
I am certain you will have a day to remember going "vrroooom"

tell him if he stops latteral movment to LET OFF THE THROTTLE and Stab the break handle...keep it from digging to CHINA...., that's half the battle with any sled and getting stuck..... ALSO, do you have a high-jacker, if not, he will probalby want to invest in one after the first ride...

I had one, it won't be pretty, don't take him places that will be too challenging for him. Let him get use to it. bring lots of help. It will go like this,He will stick that pig, you grab on and lift with all you got, the only thing that that will move is your bung hole and eye balls!!

That might be the funniest thing I have ever heard. I think two drops of pee came out.:D

Have fun! Oh let him know this is fun. Help him dig his sled out and tell him that was a gooooood day.:):beer;

Make sure and let him ride your later in the day so he can see that all sleds aren't the same and as hard to ride.:)

ahhhh......phew.......

setup the sled first and foremost. let out the front limiter, and if you can, remove the transfer rods. If you can, set it to transfer as much as possible, which wasn't much, on that suspension. Too late now, but for his next ride, find a set of Apex ski's.

If he feels it going down, teach it to bail off, so it will not be dug in.

Depending on his ability, you could unlink the sway bar, as well. That only takes a minute. And you can put it back, later, if needed.

Now thats some funny chit right there>> But if he learns to ride that he'll be able to kick a$$ on anything else.:D
