stock hp on M sleds??

All i know is that M7 motor is fck'in bomb proof. Might not be the HP king, but it rips awesome for a 700 and by far the most reliable stock motor on the market today.

Buddy just sold his wife's M7 sled and it had 14,000 miles on it!!!!! and this gal could outride most guys i've seen ride. Never had any major problems with the machine at all, no motor problems from what I remember.

weight

well kudos to skidoo for lighting a fire under Cats butt, losing weight they should have lost 3 years ago getting rid of the mech. reverse and revising a rear cooler that carrys 10lb of ice. And the stock seat..what a brick! At least the boss is an option. Listen, I,m in awe of the xp's climbing ability,It flat keeps going in over the hood powder, impressive. I have to also say the xp owners tolerance for -an 800r that has had SERIOUS problems, and some other significant teething problems-surprises me. I,v been tempted by the xp but #1 I really like the M chassis #2 waiting for parts means i,m not sleding.

Who knows, 2 years from now I may be singing doos praises but they have some stuff to take care of first. Like Wafer said " Run what you like"... I do.

I'm impressed with Doo and Cat this year - i'm kinda kicking myself for not going with an 09 M8 LE instead of the 08 M1000 - but with a good diet i'll be where i want to be weight wise. I'm stocked to run the new 09's against each other and see how the doo. Mighty impressive sleds - both of them. I'd personal would choose the M8 over the XP because i've had 5 cats in row and they've all been great to me and i love the overall riding position of the Ms. Hopefully Doo dialed in the clutching on the XP for 09. the XPs i rode last year were a joke due to clutching and gearing.
