how is it staying in the brown house at albany lodge? we are looking for something we can ride right from the door. we are also looking for something a little bigger than mountain meadow. we have 7 in our group. also want to stay off the trails as much as possible.

Albany lodge is a good place to stay. The only bad is the 20 plus mile run up to lake marie area.
There is lots of good riding that people just blow by to get to the top of the mountain when they ride out of Albany. On a good snow day there isn't any reason to cross Libby Flats IMO - unless you want to climb hills.

shhhhhhh. The snow sucks by Albany, you must go to Green Rock to find the good snow

if you get to know ryan in the shop he is also great for getting things fixed fast if something breaks on you sled. You can't beat the steaks there and they have live music most weekends, (not always the best music, but the company of fellow riders make up for it.) I bought my last sled from them 2 years ago. check it out under member builds. 2008 rmk photo build.
