Where do you live?

The last storm for these areas were a few eeks ago and very little accumulation since then.

So most of California has below normal snowfall?

PM'd you Larry...

No real 'legal' off trail in the Angeles and San B forests...

Sherman is north of Lake Isabella/Kernville area... has groomed trails, meadows, off trail riding, warming huts, etc.....

www.sugarloafers.com has some maps and driving directions

fun place and it's the closest if coming from So Cal area...... also get to Mammoth with another hour of travel...

Might try to get back up to Sherman next weekend.... if anyone else is interested too

anyone with plans next weekend (23rd-24th)??
Going to head out somewhere...

I was looking to do a day trip either the 23rd or 24th if we get some more snow and was planning on maybe Mammoth the 30th-31st.
Nothing set in stone so I am open for whatever.
Have not rode in a few weeks so I am ready to go!

mike didnt you say you to try meet travis and Greg next weekend in BB?

Yes, I was gonna put something out tonight, but as of right now Travis wants to meet at the 1N02 trailhead on Friday 22nd at 8am.
I'm going to bring two sleds so he can ride too. Sorry about the Friday, but his schedule was limited....... so if anyone else is off Friday, come on out.

Of course will have to keep an eye on weather and see what the roads are like come the end of the week...... supposed to be a wild week of weather, and LOTS of snow :D May need the sleds to just get of of town here :face-icon-small-ton

any chance of pusing the meeting closer to noon , I am probbly can be their but not at 8 see what you can do. the more peaple show up the better it is.

12 is a little late.... it turns to 1 after unloading, BS, etc.... and starts getting dark 3-4 in the woods..... but come on by anytime, and head down the trail (one way in, one way out) so you should run into us. I have a charcoal F250 w/ camper and 2up trailer, and follow our tracks.

38 degrees and 2.30" rain the last 24 hrs..... this sucks :face-icon-small-fro
.... hopefully less tropical temps in next storms

So boys, where is the riding this weekend?... Mammoth?

Good job on the Sno-Rider T-shirts Travis :beer;:beer;.. gave James his, this morning

Mike I plan on meeting up with you guys Friday morning at the 1N02 trailhead. Should be plenty of snow, I am going to just throw the sled in the back of the truck so I dont have to worry about turning around or road conditions :)

Will be in Mammoth Jan. 30 & 31, cant make it this weekend.

I think mike might be out for a road ride tonight in wrightwood, have fun i won't make it tonight. Can't make BB on friday, gotta blow the driveway so i can get to mammoth this weekend.:)

Hi guys... as James said, Just got back from a ride :D

Gil, I'll try Travis tomorrow...

20" on the ground here, ....dumped today and more coming!!

The back way (Lone Pine Cyn) is closed and not plowed.... Soooooo, I thought I'd take a run, after a long afternoon of snowblowing. You get passed the point of no plowing and it's 20" of sweet powder.. Ran across a couple of vehicles trying to come up and got stuck. Gave one lady a ride home and returned to the other vehicle. After trying to dig them out (mom, and 4 teenage girls......... easy, calm down guys :o ) I gave Mom a ride to a friend we both know, and got another sled and truck to head back down to the stuck truck. It was too buried, so the truck loaded up the girls and drove them out. Got all the way down to Clyde Ranch in Lone Pine, before I turned around, checking for another stuck vehicle, but they had got out and turned around.

4 hours of fun and half tank of gas... can't wait till tomorrow and more snow!!

Update for SBNF run: Cancelled for Friday.... bad road conditions

Talked with Travis. We rescheduled for Sunday Jan 31st. Meet at Mill Creek Ranger Station at 7am, or at the 1N02 trailhead on Hwy 38 at 8am.
