Snowmachiners defy dangers to recover body of buried buddy

Ok, you all have voiced your opinion. Right or wrong, we all have that right. I feel that based on the story that started this thread, the recovery should have been postponed instead of risking another life. You guy's are willing to take the chance of leaving your children fatherless, that is your choice.
But I don't think name calling and dising someone because they don't agree with your opinion is right either. I'm pretty sure the brothers that were lost wouldn't want us fighting with each other over this. And I am pretty sure they are not going to condemn someone for putting family first.
There have been alot of mis-statements in this thread about how "if" your buddy was caught in an avy, those that choose family wouldn't risk searching......and such!!!! This is not true as there is still a chance to save a life and we would all be right there beside you. So let's quit throwing out the "would you" inuendo's.
I have not continued to post because you are all right, I was not there and didn't know the whole story, so my original post was based off the article (which is what this thread was about) only.
The point I am making here is it is time to quit quarling over this and show some respect for our lost brothers by getting along.

May they RIP:rose:with prayers and sympathy going out to the families:brokenheart:

ps. - and I am sorry if you feel that I am not a person that you would ride with because I "WOULD" do everything in my power to save your life!

Is pretty amazing, on this forum, where discussions end up. Everyone has a right to their opinion, a lot of folks seem to forget that that is what is being stated.

Some peeps tend to elevate toward the argument side of every issue, guess age has a lot to do with it.

We all have a feeling about a situation, but untill we are in one, who knows?

I think some of the younger guys here react with emotion on a subject such as this, when you get a little older and have to take into account how your actions may affect children and other family, you tend to look at risky situations in a different light.

I know that I have to, I've been taking my boy riding with me the last 3 winters, and even though we only make it to the mountains 5-6 times a winter:(,I've had to back off going to areas I used to ride in for the sake of his safety and staying healthy so I can go back to work in one piece.

Not saying I wouldn't want to try to recover a friends body, but there are circumstances to consider, different people have different circumstances.

Some actions will cause a thousand regrets, and you may not be around to be one of the people having to deal with the regrets.

Anyway, just saying that I tend to agree with what a couple people stated here, IMO.

That is mostly what this forum is full of.

Tragic affair, hardest on the survivors.:brokenheart::face-icon-small-sad:rose:
