This is a sad deal for sure. and should be taken care of by the seller he is the one that said he had the work done. Though in the post it started to seem flakey when he talked to some one other than the guy who did the work and some of the other statements. with the high preasure sales tatics you probably should have gave it a rest at that point. Fact is you got screwed no ifs and or buts about it, this is a complete misrep if there ever was one.He should take care of this but he may not be that kind of man. sad thing is people are hurting for money out there and are getting what they can where they can and snowest is ripe for i have seen a real change in what you can expect to get from someone in the last 2 years. Hopefully he does the right thing But wheather he does or not he on the trash list for sure. chances are real good he knew exactly what he was sending you. Buying motors off of here is a complete shot in the dark these days. keep us posted Scott.

I hope you can get this POS to pay up Scott. Otherwise it is a road trip to New York....

It seems like over the past few years the swap meet has made a turn for the worse. I have purchased countless items in the past off of this forum and thankfully I have not ran into an issue. Now, I would have a hard time buying something unless it is from a regular user.

Turns out, he lives near a sled salvage yard. He accidently let that one slip when I asked him about the exhaust valves that didn't come with the engine.

I just went though this with an idiot from Swaledale Iowa. Bought 2 brand new cylinders from him and he boxed them together with only packing peanuts. They rattled together for hundreds of miles. The o-ring grooves were mushroomed so bad they were junk.
He gave me the "my furnace and my truck just died"(spent the cash) and said I had to wait for the insurance money. (this is why insurance is pricey)....HE packed it like an idiot...the freight people did nothing wrong.
Anyway I filed a claim with paypal as well as filing a claim with my credit card. The card people told me not to pay and they worked it out with paypal. Took awhile and I had to fax stuff about 3 times, but it went away.....stay away from yawningnickle on e-bay

hmmmm. anyone hear from Rock Star, I think he is in NY state for the summa!

what bs:mad:

this only makes it worse for the honest salers and buyers on the swap now!:(
SickemScott!!!

Scott - The PayPal thing is BS. I sold a guy a cylinder that I told him would need to be replated. He got it (after seeing pictures of it) and told me it wasn't going to work. PayPal gave him his money back w/o me even getting to dispute the problem (and thus took the money from my account). Keep working on PayPal. I hate that organization, but everyone under the sun uses it.

AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I DEAL WITH INDYDAN ON MY MOTOR ISSUES!!!

always go with someone whom is reputable and has been dealt with by people you know,.

just my .02

Are you saying that IndyDan has complete motors to sell?
