I am a member on both sites. Fact is my close friends went over there and asked me to come check it out too. Has nothing to do with Loyalty. I am still doing what I always have done here. I explained this to the Admin and they understand.
I find it rather funny that some Mods from Snowest have joined this new site BCR............if that isn't showing loyalty then nothing will.
OK, Whatever.........What is the definition of conflict of interest anyway?
Moderators,
I have a question. What happened to bubba700? Why was he banned from this site?
According to his posts, he chose to leave.
Paying for this site is not a rumor. It is fact. Its going to happen. I have personally read the threads in the Mod section that stated so.
Also if it wasnt true why wouldnt Chris just type a one line response stating that its not true. People stop freaking out and life goes on. The very fact that he is crafting a "well written" response speaks volumes about what is happening. I am sorry to hear about his family problems and wish him the best with that.
Pay should be used for listing classified ads and thats it. Anything other than that will drive people away. When that happens, myself and my advertising dollars will move to other sites.

I too am extremely upset with the over use of moderators. Three times i have had mods come into the Utah section and delete my posts and pictures. I have been on snowest since 2000 and NEVER had a deleted post. These mods dont even belong in the utah section. Its ridiculous and needs to stop. Unless the super mod (Chris) can limit mods power to their own section then i think all mods should go away.
If you look at the main forum page and look at the list of threads and which moderators are assigned to those sections ...those moderators can only mdoerate those sections who which they are assigned. The only people who can moderate outside of their assignment are SuperMods and the admin (with yellow titles)

So one mod thanks me for this post; another mod deletes it (for lanuguage, yet this quote is left here). My problem here has always been overzealous moderation. Are we supposed to fall in line with mainstream media? If so, I'm offended severly by this picture and will be contacting the ACLU.
Hey Mod! Scott used the letter F! Make him sit in the corner!!! And Scott, shame on you for laughing at other people's funny jokes.
If it goes paid or not, at least let people retain their personalities.
I paid back when they had the donation button with out bicthing. But what did I get for my $15.00??????
I agree with your statement about Mods being members of multiple sites and I see nothing wrong with it at all but your statement about BCR not being a "Mountain, out west" is puzzling...Why? Because I love the sport and anything to do with the sport I can't read and contribute to another site? Do you think that the BCR site will be word for word the same as Snowest, of course not. There are members on BCR that don't exist here and members here that are not there. Not to mention that the BCR site is giving a lot of people the impression it is a "backcountry" riding site which is not necessarily a mountain "out west" site.
Do you really feel that as a moderator on one one site you can't visit other snowmobile related forum sites? So should I go out and cancel my BCR, Hardcore Sledder, John Dee & Doo-Talk memberships. What about non-snowmobile forums? Do I need to cancel those too BigJake?

Google it, and I bet you can find lots of definitions to which you can read into what ever way you want.

How mountainous or "Out West" is your beloved MN? You hang out here on a "Western Mountain" site and no-one has a problem with it. And why should they?
I'm sure BCR will have something for everyone, much like SW...Even for you flatlanders!
I don't know about other peoples definition of "Back Country" but it definitely means Mountains to me. And to me it means off trail away from civilization, out in the middle of no where. But this is a personal opinion. Per Websters: a remote undeveloped rural area.
I think people are just pizzed at the Mods who are overstepping their bounds and being overzealous in their VOLUNTEER jobs. I can agree with you on this and there are also guys that push the envolope of what can be posted (nudity/profanity) and then get pissed when that gets deleted.
Some people cannot handle responsibility well.
You happen to be a Mod during a time when it seems to be Us Vs. Them.
Maybe you're a good mod... Or Maybe you're the type who deletes posts because you don't like what's being said.
That would be a bad Mod.
Which are you? At this point I must still be good because I have only deleted one post per a user request
Tell you what, since I had not received anything from Imsick, Intimid8or, Twisted Boost, & Samurai on either site I will continue to use both sites. If however one of them PM's me and asks me to leave I will as it is their site and I respect that. But to this point I have not heard of them having a problem with the few mods that are members of BCR.
'A conflict of interest (COI) occurs when an individual or organization is involved in multiple interests, one of which could possibly corrupt the motivation for an act in the other.' So how would me being a mod "corrupt" either site?
It has nothing to do with other forums, only BCR.
BCR was started by Snowest members Imsick, Intimid8or, Twisted Boost, & Samurai. From a post I read (the thread is now deleted) their site was created to compete with Snowest and "get back" at Snowest for the changes that have been made in the last few months.
So for everyone that is a moderator that is joining BCR, it is a conflict of interest. If you want to be a member of BCR, then step down as a moderator of this site......it's that simple.

DUHHHHH!!! Of course they won't have a problem with you being a member of BCR......I'm sure they like it that you and other Snowest Moderators are members of that forum. Get a clue!
westcoastsledders.com
But you personally have a problem with me being a member?
So would that be like Snowest liking the fact that you are a member there and still posting every couple of minutes here?
I'm just trying to get the rules to your game as I did not get the BCR memo that you must have.
Careful...You're going to get a little red square in the corner of your post for this and a friendly little love note from Christopher too.
