NICE! Hey Tudizzle, I would be heading straight back to colorado if I were you...Sanjuans have been under blizzard warning all week....must be nice down there 'bout now:)

From the looks of it the Monticello area has already recieved 5" of water....must be deep in those slot canyons!

the sierra cement is piling up though for sure!


Heading west on the 4th for 2 weeks of fun in Utah and California...sure hope these storms keep rolling thru! :D

Where in Utah? I was driving home yesterday and I know that the Wasatch Back got nothing. The areas East of Heber did not get hit. Neither did Strawberry or Daniels. The snow in Utah is hitting the central and the South, just like here in Colorado.

It'll come. but when? Unfortunatley, I cannot just leave my job to go ride. I just got it and I don't wanna rock the boat. I'm off Friday thru Sunday and I'm having trouble finding peeps that would wanna travel a bit and stay somewhere.

dude... what are you talking about? alta/snowbird are reporting almost 30" this week, and most snotels in the uintas are showing at least 15"... just have to go higher than the roads to find good snow :)


Hope to have some pics from cali for ya all soon :p
 
Pj, just because Heber didn't get much snow doesn't mean it's not piling up in the mountains. If the trailheads are getting 6-12" then up high where the wind is blowing you can expect 12-18". Just get out and ride and you will find some snow.

Nice! where are you riding at...buddy has a beauty of a backcounty cabin by Sonora Pass. Also friends with Jay at Thin Air Moto?

We hit it perfect last year...2-3 feet of fresh every day for about 5 days

yea hope to have two days of epic shredding!

cali snow density for the storms is coming in at 10-12% tomorrows storm is supposed to be a little colder ***crossing fingers***

Utah's snow averages bout 8.5% density... :D

may have to take next week off and visit old wolf creek :)
 
Next strom started about a half hour ago here in the Sierras...about 12"-18" of fluff expected out of this one. Last night at one point during the storm we recieved 5" between 6:30-7:30...rediculous, but i'll take it!

WC is calling for 22" more tonight!

Monday is looking like the best day to start down there for bluebird powder bashing. We'll just have to suffer thru the storm this weekend :D
 
Meh, I'm just waiting for napping kids to wake up. I'm also going off what I have heard. If it's dumping over there, sweet. I'll have some fun when I get back. From what I saw it didn't drop a bunch. If I knew where to go when I'm working in Utah that would be great. But the 2 places I have seen are in dire need of coverage. If I could catch up with someone to show me around, I'd really appreciate it. Like I said earlier, I have 3 day weekends so I'm not against driving on the weekends that I can't come back to Colorado. Weekends in CO are for time with my family so RE/Buff is the place for us. It's close and the meadows are easy enough for my son and my wife.

Here's hoping it stays cold for you guys but it looks like warm temps and possibly rain next week.

I guess I'm gonna be heading to Wolf Creek on Saturday .... guy from work is taking me. I've never ridden there. Looks like it should be decent :)
