Honestly, Power world was the cheapest (way less than VOHK) and is the closest to me, so I went with them. Just got to go get it!
I'd GLADLY toss you gas $$ for the help, even if we can't ride it'd be nice to just get it here & start tearing it apart to see how much I can screw it up before the snow gets a good base!

Is there enough snow on Vail Pass to road ride? I need to check out a clutch setup.

Any suggestions on anywhere might be able to have enough road snow to test a clutch?
If your just looking to make some short rips you could probably find a spot that will work. Might be between the tire tracks of a truck, but probably doable. Be better if you could load your sled in the pickup and cruise forest roads until you find a stretch that will work. I don't know that area, so can't point you in a specific direction. Snow is pretty thin to, so you'll probably end up down in the dirt pretty quick. good luck!
Paradise Divide up Slate River Road outside Crested Butte has enough to test ride. That early Oct snow made a 6" "base" layer, then last weeks snow put about 10" atop that. There are sled tracks all over the north aspect of the divide, and I was snowboarding on Mt Baldy, damn good snow actually!
Forcast is for 4-8" more snow up there tonight, and a few (1-3") more tomorrow. I'm going to go rip around up there in the morning, get a real test ride in (also testing a clutch setup).

I actually had to break out the shovel to find the dog dishes. I'd say 6" here and Snotel is saying 22" where it matters.
Looks like a Turkey Day ride may be in order.
