Snow Eliminators vs. Better boards

I have an edge chassis. which works better? i have buddies with both types and they look pretty much the same to me. Does anyone know of any other running board inserts that work good... I would just like a few options.

nosnow's from fastlaneinc, these work the best. plastic is the ONLY way to go. some of my buds have the aluminum ones, and yes one set is powdercoated, and they still have to be kicked out and ice builds up one them. the nosnows NEVER build snow no matter how deep or wet. my buds with the aluminum ones all wish they had the plastic.

another reason

don't have them yet,so i don't really have an opinion.but one of the reasons i want them is my friends who installed the aluminum snow eliminators said it stiffened up the running boards considerably.which is a definite plus when your jumping from side to side on your sled.

I put the better boards on my sled.
Those things rock.
No snow build up at all. All you have to do is step down and it forces all the snow out.

Do you guys have a website for the Snow Eliminators? I need a set for the IQ race chassis. Rob is not going to make them for this chassis. Thanks for the help.

Ollie...did you do anything to the foot wells to keep snow from clogging up in there? I don't have better boards yet, but I was wondering if I should do the better boards and something for the foot wells. I was thinking of doing THIS.

hey guys with the fast lane boads... i like the look of these but the only thing that worries me is boot traction... have you had any traction problems???

thanks

The openings in the better boards extend into the footwells. All you have to do is shove your foot into the footwells and the snow falls thru the holes.

I ran snow eliminators on my m7 and yes the snow would stick to the inside but was no big deal to me. They worked awesome and stiffened up the running boards and foot wells, which I think is a must if your a hard rider and like to jump. Thinking about putting them on my xp. and you got great tracktion with them

I called Rob a few weeks ago, and he said they were going to make some for the IQ race chassis. They should be about finished up, and close to shipping. I put an order in. Jesse.

no probs with traction, you can put the traction screws anywhere you want. have never slipped on mine once. would be the second mod i'd do to any sled, reverse would be the first!

put Better boards on both my 900 and 600 Raw as said before the footwells are open and snow falls right out,Rob has a great product, plus on the 900 it stiffins the tunnel.

The the se's and the Better Boards for that Edge chassis are very similar. I make my traction cleats slightly more aggressive on that chassis because it is a narrow running board I wanted the cleats to be parallel to the outer heat extrusion so your foot wouldn't get trapped straight. Your heel needs freedom of movement. It feels really quite weird initially since you now have almost 1/3 again more standing surface. It also feels like you are going to slide off sideways but you don't! Then once you are used to that feel they are AWESOME and basically irreplaceable for the benefit of TRACTION and SNOW not building up where you put your feet.

I ride both an edge chassis and a raw iq chassis daily. I get the advantage of taking both as I have an assistant tester that comes along and then I get to try both in every condition. They simply work great and flat out if you don't have the product on your sled and you ride in deep powder it sucks. In all of the mods that I've done to sleds (trust me here I've done them all except propane) this is the one single thing that enhances your riding experience the most for the littlest investment. We took a problem and flat out solved it.

I'm well over a thousand units sold this season alone. The masses are loving them!
