Slp stage 4 kit review

I have the stage 2 now I'm buying the head. I would like to get some feedback on the stage 4. I will be out for a week or more from my wreck, slp said 2 days for porting once they get the cylinders. Some feedback would be great

I would not go with SLP porting, if you're dead set on porting, Get ahold of Shane at HM.

OR do what I did and go with RKT's piston and head drop in kit. I have this and SLP pipe/can and PCV running stage 4 SLP mapping and it will take a stage 4 port SLP sled.

It's about $800 and gives you reliability and power you need. Jeremy at Lewiston Outdoor Equipment hooked me up.

Just $0.02

Cylinder boxed up will be shipped to Slp in the morning I will post a review on the stage 4 kit myself since I got one response I just pulled the trigger :face-icon-small-ton

friend has the kit, it really works pretty good, zero issues and a good improvement over stock very nice bottom end increase for the money.

I have been wondering the same thing about the stage 4 kit. I talked to a few people and most of them told me that porting is not worth the money for these motors.

Please post what you feel once you get your back.

Running stage 4 on mine and I really like it. Sled runs well. I was not sure how much better till I rode a stock one the other day. Everybody I have switched with and let them ride it has been impressed. I think you will be happy.

Must have got your clutching figured out huh? Good deal!

Oh, rebuild your top end for sure if you had not already planned on it. I stage III'd it from II and had nothing but problems on my 11. It was all because the pistons and rings were already chipped and flaking. Better head and compression amplified the problem. Ran like crap and fouled plugs one after another.

My clutching is spot on I just wanted a little more lower end but it seems its a little different than motor cycles when you change gearing I still might test it out

Yep..clutching is working well. Took off tied and MTX weights and went back to what I know and it has worked great since we were in Cooke 2 weeks ago. I got tired of fighting the other stuff. No matter what I did would never seem to work..simply went back to old clutch setup and now hit 8250 to 8300 steady.

I have been told by a well respected engine builder that the 12 with stage 4 and his in house porting that They saw a increase of 28hp over stock !!
He also told me the 12 stock dyno'd 133 hp @ 2200 ft.

Is that a joke or is that what they dyno? It's odd that all these company's advertise gains but no real graphs!! Are they bench dynoing the motors or what! The slp dyno just shows the gain which doesn't mean **** but on the other hand it's more than I've seen from anyone wtf

Well unfortunately it gets to the point nobody wants to post a dyno number that somebody else can come back with a lawsuit and say they were inaccurate on. That is why SLP just shows an increase to whatever base number you want to use...

slp 4

You got 2200 or so you will be happy they do work as advertised been around several.Torque is the big gain.Bout 4-5mph track speed climbing loaded over stock.
