Working good for me right now at 9:45 but earlier at say 7:30 - 8:00 I would get the blank explorer screen that you get when a site is off line. I'd "go back" to the forums list and hit the topic again.... most of the time it would go through, but I got the blank about 4-5 times. Not really slow..just would go to the blank screen pretty quickly.
Wasn't the same as in past evenings.
I think at the time there were aprox 1400 users on line.

You were seeing all of the REBOOTS we were doing on the server earlier on as we were reconfiguring the CPU Cores and Memory.
We have another 32GB of RAM coming which will Double both of the servers again and allow us to set up some really large caches to try and optimize the forums as much as possible for data retrieval.

I tried replying to all my PM's and it kept telling me I have to wait 15 seconds inbetween each message, then it said I had to wait 650 seconds in the same sentence. I had to sit there and watch it count down to send a message?!?!?!? I didn't have to wait when it was free, now I pay and its slower?
I kept getting a screen that said "here" in the upper left corner... so odd.

What ^he^ said. As with any poorly run business/organization, the only way to play...is to not play at all. I haven't been on this site since the "new order" became effective. I logged on today b/c I recieved a PM, looking for technical advice. Unfortunately I could only reply one way:
I'm sorry Jon, but I won't contribute to this forum any longer. I don't PAY MONEY, to give out hard-earned technical information. I pulled all my pics for that reason. I'd have deleted all my posts as well, but this sucky forum won't let me delete or modify my own posts. My recomondation is to try a better Snowmobiling forum. Best of luck to you.
That is f'ed up, but that is what this place has come to. Best way to play...is to not play at all. At least not on this forum. AMF.

There are a few other snowmobile forums, but still there is more activity and people willing to help here on snowest than all the other forums combined. I did have the same attitude at one point, pulled all my pics and stopped helping people out when questions were asked that I had knowledge about. However I've started contributing to this forum again just because I think and want snowest will pull through. Last time I was on BCR there was 2 pics in the chat box of a naked male nutsack. I don't know why it was up there, or how anybody could think posting a pic of their nuts was funny, I didn't stick around long enough to be in the know.
Cristopher, Pull it together man. You have the support, there are people pulling for snowest.

Last night, before i had posted up above it would happen just navigating the forum between the poo section and the main forum; i got the data base error about 5 times. Click the back button and choose a different section (doo) sometimes would work, sometimes it wouldn't (database error). I had been logged on most of the afternoon prior but idle.
The only difference between last night and the previous nights was that (last night) sometimes I got the error and sometimes not (it would work, no error) BEFORE I finally got booted off with the error which ended up being just a few minutes after my last post, last night.

Honestly.
With the changes we have made this week, the forums should be getting STRONGER and FASTER as the days go by.
More hardware will arrive next week which will speed it up even more, and we found almost 100 Tweeks that we can do to the database SQL server to speed up data retrieval and post speed.
We are working on this place every single day trying to make it as good as we can.

Please let me know if you see this same behavior today.
Its hard for me to know if your problem was a result of us making all the changes in real time while you were navigating or if it is something deeper.
Right now we are doing nothing to the servers.

WOW.. Seems some people are just here to talk Sh@t over the Internet.. I dont understand why BASIC (un-paid members) even think the have the right to talk or bash in the least! I could only imagine what it takes to keep a site running like this and dealing with B-S members like yourselfs and I..
