Looks like an awesome project! Would love to build a dedicated sled hauler out of a mega cab, problem is after you dropped the coin on the flatbed you would have to long bed the mega to make it even work or look good. This is going to be a sweet project, and I too would go with the DRW model to make sure the back tires were covered up well, and to give that extra room. Stoked to see the finished product!

I put the tape measure to my wheel width many times. I figured the 6 or 7 inches over hang would be fine. No need for rear fender flares.
Since I ordered bed 9'long, my next stress will come due when i get my 5th wheel camper (converted to goose neck) hooked up and Jack-knifed. Lol.
I measured it many times and talked to Mike several times about it. The deck surface is about the same length as my stock bed with bumper. I'm certain I'm ok, but need to hook up to confirm.
It would suck if the bed was too long to make sharp turns.
