Sickest Climb in WA?

So many hidden hazards up there....

Well some of it is big and flat but there is one thing aboutit that we that have been there know about it and if you think about it you know it also but don't tell. Because the summit is more than just cresting the hill.

Been there, done that.....pucker factor was high

Cut throat peak from the Rainy Pass side is a good one. I cots me about a buck or two in gas and oil to go up and about $5500 in parts and ego on the way down plus a little blood in the urine.

I'm going back to kick its arse this spring and hopefully there won't be a stuck sledder in the only line down this time.

I will second Cut throat peak. The back(north) side is a good one too.
If you seriously are going to try and climb that to the top, we will make
a special trip to watch or film that ATTEMPT.
It may be possible in the right conditions, with a big-dog sled and a sack
of huge rocks.
Have not been to Baker, but some of the chutes at No. Casc. hwy are
as crazy or impossible as I have seen anywhere including Canada.

Anyone ever come down Chain Case a little too far to the left and see a windshield duct taped to a tree just before the jeep trail?

Saw the hole 2-3 days after that guy died, haven't been up it since.

Just pulled it wednesday with 2 feet of fresh, slipped into the right hand chute and pinned it to the trees. Only track on it all day. Nothing wrong with chain hill you just have to watch avy conditions.

Hill

I think of Dez every time I pull that hill

The sickest climb in Wa

the sickest climb is Mt. St. Hellens right under neath dogs head. you have to turn just underneath in and the mountain throws three different angles at you at once, its extremely wind drifted so its choppy. if you have the neve to go up, you better choke your raisins back down cause coming back down sucks ur going down hill at least at 70 mph.

Oh I'm gonna do it again, I got up last year but lost it huge on the way down..

H20SKE If I rememder right that day. I climb the horse barn to lookout chute. And you roll a boorrowed sled down the hill. I might have pics.[/QUOTE

Alright who's the Whack case that would let Paul borrow a sled to go to Baker with?

I thinks that was YOU--LOL--Thanks agian--glad all I broke was a tie rod end.

No kidding....the only time I've been at baker the same as him...he's pulling a sled with a blown motor......:beer;:D

That is right--I was pulling Cletus out--He had a piston go out on Big House--No idea why either--that sled had always run awesome--but figured it was time to create a issue I guess.

It is all about conditions as to hard any given climb is--Now have your 10 year old pull chaincase in 2 feet of new snow. As far as riding out og the crater on Baker--I have seen 2 others try it and were very unsuccsessful in the climb. Avy chute is a fun pull with many lines which means it is totally different30 feet to the side of your last pull, but in 2 or 3 feet of new--it is about HP and cahunas still.

What for ReTodds course at the Baker Shootout--it is going to be SICK!!

H20SKE...

Have done St Helens, Baker, Blewett, Chaincase and others. All nasty coming back down in the wrong conditions even with reverse. The nastiest I have seen is a place nicknamed "The Toilet Bowl". Over 1500' top to bottom. Minimal runout. The problem "chalenge" is that you can only drop into to it. This climb starts with the decent and you must climb out. I guess it was name for the tendancy of things going down rather than up. Anyways, can't tell you where it's at, nor it's official name, but it is in WA and can be accessed from Greenwater of all places.
