short box

I don't understand why all you guys buy short box trucks. We all own long track sleds that are over ten feet long. You would think you would buy a truck to match.

Glad your still happy!!!

this one has the sides that slide in. very handy when your not riding. i have seen some that sag/bow after a while but i've got two years and no signs of that. love this deck:D hi-rise mfg

Long boxes are better for sure, but for a deck it doesn't really matter. I've got a 8' deck and can haul my 162" no issues. And my sled is actually over 11' :D

yep my nytro is over 12" long and i have an 8 foot marathon deck . I've never had any problems with it what so ever . I'd say I unload and load my sled over 60 times a year ! Just make sure if you have a dodge you use bolts to secure you're deck and not the crappy plastic tie downs

I have seen the short box bulldog decks bend like a pretzel right ant the 6 foot mark. after that happened we couldn't open the tail gate or get the ramp out. it was a major pain in the ***. Sounds like the new decks are much better quality.

Here is my sweet ride. 2009 F-350 4" BDS SKI-HI deck. Tires will be here on Thursday can't wait

X2 on the bags the best thing you can do to help the ride. I like to run about 40psi with 2 sleds on Ak's rough roads.

Ya i have bags I Just no air in them. the truck rides good with two sleds up top as long as i have air in the bags. it is a 1 ton

Nice work squirrelchaser. That is a cool setup
Thanks. Can't take all the credit, had a friend of mine help me with it. Probably one of the best fabricator welders I have seen. I built it that way so it would be easy to unload my M7 with no reverse. Its also set up yo have a winch hooked up on the back rack, it will drag a dead one up on the deck. Next project is to long bed and air ride my mega cab so that deck doesnt look so funny.

The extension looks bent down. Your track isn't even touching it.

It does tip down a bit but it is over exaggerated by the angle to the driveway and camera angle here is a better shot. The cool thing about this design is that when you remove the extension you can put 2 quads on the deck and still pull the trailer and not worry about it hitting the side of the trailer.

i use my frame mounted camper tiedowns, very secure. my old pickup i had it mounted to the bed and after a couple seasons the bottom of the bed around the ends of the front crossmember started cracking. imho they need to be secured to the frame whether it is through the bed with bolts or using camper tiedowns, the thin metal used nowdays cant take the flexing when the bed rocks side to side

how i travel in summer
