Show us pictures of you sled decks!!!

I'm also interested in pictures of your attachment methods. I think if I ran a deck I would only be comfortable if it had some Grade-8 hardware wrapped around the frame.

Nothing special, just a STF lengthened so it can haul real sleds! :D Got a 35 gallon slip tank under the deck, only loose about 1' of box space. Front is bolted threw the box with 1/2" bolt on each side. And still all 4 corners to the tie downs. Not worried about the deck going anywhere!

this one has the sides that slide in. very handy when your not riding. i have seen some that sag/bow after a while but i've got two years and no signs of that. love this deck:D hi-rise mfg

TRex Sled Deck. Have had it for three years, use 4 turn buckles inside pick up bed, never had any problems.

You trust your truck and sleds on 4 plastic tie downs? I have the same type of truck, and if you pulled them off and see the hardware used, you'd probably think differently. Specially on a shortbox, you loose one tiedown when your loading, your deck is coming out the box on top of you.....NOT a pretty pictures, don't look fun!

I'd like to see a 162" sled on a deck with a 6.5' bed.

I can't believe nobody gets hassled about the weight/crazy looking loads?

That sucks, I really like my STF, and the price people are selling them I only payed $1675 with two superclamps, ain't going to complain. The only thing i'd say I don't like is how they didn't notch the plywood so you can leave the two outside loops for the superclamps, instead of moving them all the time.

I have a 6'4" bed and haul a 162, unless you mean deck size? I wouldn't dream of doing that, 8' deck is short enough for a 162".

the truckers through the mountains must love your headlights blinding them?

Na, actually I only had it loaded like that once and only out to my acerage. Never took my truck to the mountains with that deck. Getting air bags this year or modding my timbrens to work. Those two sleds and that metal deck were frickening heavy though.....

Cyle, Cab you load that deck yourself? How many guys? Do you guys store them standing up? Or just laying normal on the ground?

Which one? The old metal deck took two people, same with my STF. Just picking it up off the ground normal. If I wanted to, I could probably load the STF by myself, but not the metal one because the front legs have to be lifted over the fenderwells. Honestly, besides for the ramp of the metal one being a lot heavier, the STF isn't that much lighter. I'd say the ramp is like 40lbs instead of 80lbs, but the deck itself, maybe 50lbs difference.

The only hard part about loading the STF is I have a slip tank under the deck, which the front legs need to be lifted over, and the tank is like 16" high. Tough, but still doable alone.
