snowblind, is the snow in the Mammoth area rediculous right now? I'm planning a trip to Yosemite in late May or early June to see the waterfalls... with all the friggin' snow piling up there it is going to be a once a decade run off event. My kids have never been to Yosemite so I'm going to take them.

Looks like if the weather is good, the SoCal guys will be going up there on thursday.
if bad weather then the 12 new feet since last week with another 5 projected for thehis weekend in mammoth add up to over 50 feet and is almost unridable.

No need to pinch yourself, you haven't died and gone to heaven. It really is snowing some of the most epic storms of the season! Mammoth received another foot to foot and half of fresh just today! The snow isn't stopping anytime soon and multiple feet are expected through Sunday night! If you are too excited to do math, Mammoth received 5-8 feet last weekend and now another 3 to 4.5 feet of snow in the last 2 days. This makes 8 feet at the base lodges and over 12 feet near the top in just the last week!

All this incredible snow means the season isn't ending anytime soon and there's no better place to be than Mammoth for spring skiing and boarding! Checked a pro 163. Time for a switch. I do like the xp. But the price was right on the pro. I will be out right after x-mas see u then. Have fun down in Fairview. Love it down there! I am sure i will need one of your guage lifters. I will look u up this fall when i get the sled in.

Oh yeah, lots of tailgating !! especially if its cement type snow !! We normally cook a serious breakfast and lunch with some riding in-between.

Yeah you can, you just run down the trail/road past huntington res, then up one of the draws to the bowl. There will be a beaten path, hard to miss.

We'll be there. Hoping for some clear skies this year too. Should be good, we've had some good snow this week but the wind has been blowing like a hurricane up on top all week. Hopefully this next week will give us one more big snow storm and we'll have some awesome conditions. I think the racing is usually in Staker Canyon, west of Miller Flat Reservoir.

I'm slow this year. I've been riding around with a cute little gt2860rs turbo. Not a powerhouse but it's fun and responsive! Maybe I'll put a bigger snail on for Fairview just for giggles.
