SERVICE BULLETIN: Embedded Map GPS Download & Update Procedure for 10.25" Display

I didn’t have issues all day today, my bread crumbs stayed if I left the gauge shut off on its own. I was in a new zone I also used the app to store the tracks on my account for future.
Did you have your phone plugged in all day? That is the only way it wont delete the crumbs for me.

I was finally able to get my sled updated. What a royal pain in the azz. Mine is a 24 so I had to do the full software update and then the map update. Ended up hooking the battery to my truck battery with jumper cables to keep the voltage up. Had to tap the screen multiple times for the 3 second countdown and missed it once when the map file was over 75% done and had to start all over. We have super fast WiFi and it’s so slow to download it’s unbelievable. Turned into like a 6 beer job sitting on the sled watching for the time out warning and tapping the screen.

The maps look good with decent topo but I also had the issue of the breadcrumbs disappearing. Pretty unbelievable you can’t manage and store the tracks. We stopped for a long break to deal with some mechanical issues on another sled and my breadcrumbs were gone when I restarted my sled. Had to use Gaia to get out in the dark. I wouldn’t trust these maps for anything important to your navigation

Interesting you mentioned the phone being plugged in, I have a second usb for phone charging only.

I went for a rip in the field the other day and left my phone at home. No breadcrumbs were stored and had me puzzled.

When I plugged my phone in to see if it would stop deleting the breadcrumbs I got a promp about using the embedded maps. When you select embedded maps it does not seem to record the track in the BRPGo app. At least mine didn’t and I lost the bread crumbs again half way through the ride. So far very unimpressed. Back to relying on GAIA and needing to pull my phone out every time we stop for navigational purposes. Still cannot believe that you can’t store and edit all the breadcrumbs to build a track database in the embedded maps. It’s literally useless

Hey I have a big idea, why doesn’t BRP send out their wizards that designed this that we can’t make work to all of the dealers and have a training class.Maybe 30- 60 guys who can’t make this work ,can be in the parking lot and the wizard can show us on the sled how great it works I do realize that they would need 30-60 trickle chargers?but hey we are supposed to use electricity only anyways

Ski-Doo aint doing so bad, only thing people can complain is the gps losing breadcrumbs

Mine does this too, a bit annoying bug. Hope they can fix it fast.

Why is it so hard to get to different state trail maps?So if you don’t need your phone why is the built in GPS all over the place. The cost of the 10.25 guage should make the average individual able to use it.Of course you can’t see the guage while your riding in deep snow anyways. No use in complaining no one held a weapon to my head to buy it.

Adding state maps could not be any easier. Log onto your WIFI, go into settings and download your state. It should take about 30 seconds to get to that option, then maybe 10 min per state to download.

So question for the mass. When I got my updates downloaded and my states as well. I am noticing that in my areas I ride it does not show wilderness boundaries. Is this normal? It shows them on the BRP GO app.

Interesting, Must be a US thing? Can you share a pic of what they look like?
I have not noticed any wilderness boundaries on my Go app since 2023 in my riding areas

Years ago when riding with a guy that had the 7s, his gauge showed a different shaded area where we were riding close to. Ended up figuring out that we were close to a closure zone, and it was very accurate.

Oh ,the state maps download ok .My question is why when you are in a different area I can’t pull up say Oregon with out going thru maps from other states first. They are listed in alphabetical order as I have no ca.central ca.,Oregon,Idaho,Wyoming and Utah.If you know the trail system you want I can’t figure out why you have to go thru every area of the state.Obviously you have it figured out, would you mind sharing?
Thanks

If you look closely you can see the black line. I attempted to run a yellow line just above the black boarder.Screenshot_20250118_232451_BRP GO!.jpg
