I think the firmware/map updates help, yes.I wonder if the latest map update helped with the breadcrumbs? I heard of a fellow in my area that was having the breadcrumb issue but didn’t have the latest map update.
Can you add waypoints onto the gauge ? Example: sled cabin , jerrycan drop etc?
You are right. Lost mine once today. No idea why, and couldn't reproduce it.Do not rely on the breadcrumbs as they will unexpectedly delete on their own when you restart the sled. I have had it happen to me and numerous others in our group.
New to big gauge for this year so still trying to figure this thing out. So I picked up the sled from dealer it had 3.0 software update and it would erase my breadcrumb trail randomly. Updated to 3.01 and seems to be good. Anybody else finding this? Or just coincidenceYou are right. Lost mine once today. No idea why, and couldn't reproduce it.
Random. And unreliable.
I think its just a coincidence.New to big gauge for this year so still trying to figure this thing out. I shut it off manually everytime I stopyou think that makes a difference? Next time I head out will leave it and seeI think its just a coincidence.
For the guys that have lost their breadcrumbs, did you shut the gauge off manually, or let it time out?
I updated mine to 3.01 and it was an option to re download it again. Will try adding it again and seeI think the firmware/map updates help, yes.
Note, that sometimes the gauge will say 'installed 3.0.1', but if you hit 'update', it will re-download and install. That means the firmware and software did not fully install properly. The only way I could do it, was starting the engine when really cold and letting it go while running...
I didn’t have issues all day today, my bread crumbs stayed if I left the gauge shut off on its own. I was in a new zone I also used the app to store the tracks on my account for future.I shut it off manually everytime I stopyou think that makes a difference? Yes the tracks save on the Brp app. Just make an account.i didnt know we could save the tracks, to use later, im new to the big screen as well, only have a couple of rides on it, did the update and all seams good, do we have to save it with BRP GO
Will give that a try next time wil just let it time out. I did save my tracks those days on the BRP app and worked flawlessly.I didn’t have issues all day today, my bread crumbs stayed if I left the gauge shut off on its own.
