Well here it is, my first house.
It may not be the biggest, but it is just right for me and the future bride.
The house is a 3 stall, 2200 or so sq. ft ranch. The contractor is actually copter6 on here.
First pictures are of the basement which was just dug today....

House will be pretty much done minus the basement by end of Nov. for sure, so should be a quick build from start to finish...

nice man. My house is just over 2200 and it was fine for us and 2 kids...gonna be tight with 3. You should be fine on space and your gonna love having that 3rd stall.

congrats.
Houses are like sleds.
They don't have to be the biggest to be the best for you.
It's a great feeling when you walk into your first house and it hits you.
This is mine.

Congrats, and by the way it looks like the excavator knows his business, very nice job on the grade in basement. If the rest of the home turns out that nice you will be very happy.

Yup reason house has to be done by end of Nov., the tax credit is really going to help.

Pretty excited, just seeing the ground dug into is the first relaization that it's actually going to happen. Hope to post a lot of pics of the build as it goes, pretty big purchase not to document as we go...

Good to see progress Senior Roberto:D:D Can't wait to see the build pics. Get lots of pics like Buck50 and RLG did!!!

Tell Jeff to stay off the :beer;:beer;:beer; and things will stay plumb and true;):D:D

Congrats bud you deserve it!!!:beer;:beer;

One bit of advice.
take pics.
LOTS of pics.
Take pics of every phase of the construction.
That way you will know 10 years from now, where the wire is run, where the piping is.
If there is a problem you can figure out what it could be without tearing out walls.

Froggy will do, hope to build a house thread like they did, although it won't be as lavish as theirs, but should be fun to post as we build....

And Jeff is better when hes got a few :beer's in him, he'll do a great job I'm sure...

Rob:

Congrats. I'm in my first home. I have a condo but this is my first house. 1700 ft ranch house. I love it. But it's a lot of work for a single female. But I'm so proud of the house. I didn't build mine (I would have changed a bit), but I'm still proud everytime I walk in the door. Be PROUD!!!! You have every right to be!

Anxious to see the pictures.

Quick update before the week starts, footings will go in tomorrow or Tuesday, walls hopefully go up end of week. Went up there tonight with the bride to be and just kinda checked out the neighborhood so snapped a few pics...

Future three stall garage...

Will take some more pics once the first pour is done...

I also saw that the neighbor is buildin a nice little shed in the back that will not be outdone, just a single stall toy garage, measured the car lift and need at least 11ft to fit it, going to look into a two stall toy garage just for my sled and classics....

Yeah right Rob...... you took your Tonka trucks over there to play with !! Come on, cough up those pictures. Let's see them :)

Not too much new news, been picking out a lot of important stuff like the chitter, garage floor coatings, and wall speakers; as well as not so important stuff like countertops, paints, lights and carpets.

Footings are in, and forms should be early next week.
