So how does it fit you Tuesday?? Looks like they could be even taller for my liking but IDK?

Here is a bit better picture from further away. I am 6'1 and it seems to fit me well. Regardless any taller then this and you would need extensions. Dont forget there is the relocation and pivot adapter on there as well.

Put on RSI 7 inch risers with pivot adapter and offsets on my nytro. My question is there a torque rating on the bolt that attaches the bottom of the riser to the pivot adapter. I have it very tight and the bars will still move with hard pulling and pushing. The risers are very smooth does that surface need to be roughed up? Went for a ride today, height seems perfect but need to get the risers to keep from moving.

The pivot adapter is grooved the riser is smooth

Thoughts? I sent RSI a PM as well.

Thanks

Keep us updated on what you find out Tuesday. I need to order a set but this problem your having is kinda holding me back. :(

Thanks

There must be others that have comments out there. There are alot of aftermarket riser (double wishbone) set ups. Any problems with getting it secure at the t post?

Should I roughen up the surfaces to get a better bite. I really dont want to snap the tighten bolt off.

i had a wish bone riser on my old sx700 and it didnt matter what i did i couldn`t keep the bars from moving. i tightened the bolt to almost the break point, took a center punch and made dimples in the bars, used green lock-tite. they still moved. thats why i went to a non pivot. good luck!

Clean the grooves on the pivot adapter with a triangle file to sharpen them up. Also roughened up the surface on the bottom of the riser. Put them back on and tighten it down using a 1/2 driver with a long snipe. So far it has not moved.

Good to know.... Thanks for sharing :beer;

We had just put an extra lock washer on the bottom bolt. It don't know how or why it worked but it has so far. It's too bad RSI never grooved the bottom of the riser to match the grooves on the T-Post.

Exactly why would they drill it baby butt smooth? Also they should deepen the grooves on the pivot adapter. They where shallow and full of paint. The old triangle file sharpened them up though.

I must say RSI customer service has been below average. I have sent numerous emails over the last 2 months as well as a few PMS. Not one response. Even when I called the message said we are busy so send us and email. shrug........ Guess that is why the are cheaper then most. I originally was looking at the fly set up but RSI contacted me on the forum so I try to support forum users.

GL- Decent product just takes some set up and dont expect any customer support. Hopefully this thread will answer questions for future installs.
