Revy avalanche

Freak, My picture of you standing right where this hit makes me shake. We've all stood here in mass. Parked, loving life. The most amazing place we've ever been on a sled will never feel the same.

news reports are all over the place. I pray they are ALL wrong. One life lost, as we well know, is too many. :(

FREAK - please e-mail me. dat@xmission.com your PM box is full. Rock

Think I'll not go riding today . TOO SCARY . I was up all night thinking about those poor people involved ---I know how helpless you can feel when an avalanche comes down .

Pit Crew, I was in Chatter yesterday, same conditions, we saw a huge avalanche, no one hurt, one of our group triggered a small one and we had to dig him out, he is fine. I did not hear of anybody else having trouble there. Nasty conditions out there, play safe.
FBF.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved. We really are a tight community. Thanks for all the updates. Keep them coming.

avy

Read about the avy last night and was sick, Prayed many times and didn't sleep well last night, read this morning about the people I knew, Shane, Lyle,Amber,Randy that were ok.

My biggest fear when climbing is to get buried but worse than that is to have to dig a friend out and face his family.
Prayers to everyone involved.
Kevin

Today is going to be a tough day as they search again. We have to all be there for one another to get through these hard times. So sorry for the loss of lives..:brokenheart:

as all hearts are broken with this traggic event...... This is an event that could happen to anyone snowmobilers and skier I hope the that all sides come together to grieve and support one another.... the Mayor response to being an unsantioned event.... well if it was a sking tragidy the sledding community are skiers too.... and this traggidy would be worse if it would be used as an attach on the group affected to damn the sport.....we all face mother nature sledders surfers skiers snowboards hikers mountain climbers anyone who temps nature know that she has the last word indefinatly.....

politics should be boycotted from this issue!!!!!!! this is a loss and if handled right should progress and educate in a way to help the sport and the people who live it.......

Very well said , Please no politics:face-icon-small-fro this is very sensitive time for famoly and friends , prayers and thoughts ,

WOW! CTV just showed some footage from yesterday afternoon after the slide. What a mess! Not good quality footage, likely shot with a camera phone, but sure gives an idea of the size of the avy and the mayhem that ensued. Miracles can happen....lets hope and pray there still may be survivors. :rose:

Revy

This is the saddest day in snowmobiling. My prayers to all involved, and hope for some rescues today.

I have been able to tell through some of the posts that alot of the people I know that went to the event have survived, but there are still a handfull of friends that have not reported in.
If you are a member and have survived please post up that you are OK,I am sure there are many wondering about you.
This is just terrible,I was hoping it was just a nightmare but unfortunately wasn't.
My prayers and thoughts are with all in Revy and their families and hope to hear that all have been accounted for.
I am still in shock and I am at a loss of words.

Dave
