Revy avalanche

No the TS crew was not there Brad is in Wyoming with Jim and a few of the other guys. Doc and Trennis as far as I know are at home I talked to both of them on Friday. Marks sled is broke AGAIN so he is home. Pretty sure they are all fine. Thoughts and Prayers to everyone involved. This is terrible thing I have alot of ppl in Canada that i consider friends and am glad they are all ok so far. Please no finger pointing lets just hope and PRAY that there are no more deaths. Sleds and Helmets can be replaced lives cannot.

Has anyone heard from Ron Edgar?????

Michelle

Ron is Ok, spoke with him earlier, his sled went over the top just prior to the slide.

I have read a couple of posts trying to lay blame, if you are in the mountains in the winter you are accountable for what happens to you....if you do not understand this then stay out!

It is going to be a very restless night, my best thoughts are with those involved, the knot in my gut will not go awayt, his will, unfortunately, change back country access for all

avalanche tragedy

I am so sad for those of you that lost loved ones and friends and please know that you are in my thoughts and my prayers. I was suppose to be there today like many of you and like many of you I had a lot of friends up there. Whittaker is ok, he decided to sled in Castlegar today. For those of you that know him Mike F. that stays at the Smokey Bear is ok. He was there and made it out ok. I've been in a situation where a sledder lost her life and it is such a feeling of helplessness. I have that same feeling now. I'm praying for those involved in this tragedy.

bad news

Nick King, Walter Kristoliwhich, James, Serge, PowderLites group, Micku's, Dave Reeves, Mark Dixson, Bob Dixson, are a few of the guys I seen coming out ok.
:brokenheart:
Also heard Rob Blair is ok and getting a few calls but doesn't sound good if a pair of buddies or small group were all together so anyone that can maybe make a quick new post of names that you know are ok and ones that are missing. sorta like a poll or some way to help everyone one invloved.

there was also alot of people there today that got hurt that had to be choppered out that weren't mentioned in any news reports . the worst of it all is how deep it is . there could still be people or sleds down there and there's no way of telling really with probes .very frustrating ! . search and rescuse did take a while to come but when they did they were excellent ! there were sleds scattered all over the area ,some just destroyed . some thing i never want to see again .

This news is just absolutely horrible! I pray that today the numbers will not get worse, this will be a BLACK Sunday in the sledding community. Just makes me sick to think about.:brokenheart:

God help those on the mountain and those affected by this horrible tragedy!!:rose:
