Last season I ordered a new clutch kit for my 2024 Turbo Summit from iBackshift.
But as the season rolled along I never managed to get the kit installed.
This year I made sure to put that new clutch kit onto my sled.
Saturday was my first ride of the season and I just wanted to take a moment to confirm, once again, just how much I LOVE this kit.
Many years ago I ran across iBackshift when I needed a new clutch for my 2009 Supercharged Yamaha Nytro.
The kit worked incredibly well back then, but when I jumped ship from Yammi over to Doo, I never thought to order another kit.
STUPID MISTAKE on my part.
While the snow is nothing to write home about in Island Park yet, the difference in performance and engagement on the new clutch is nothing short of STRIKING.
It really made me SERIOUSLY question myself as to WHY I didn't order this sooner and get it installed.
The Summit is just sooo much more responsive to small throttle variations now than it was before.
She feels more "Eager" to engage and take off the moment I roll into the throttle, and yet it still disengages just as smoothly as could be.
So the sled doesn't feel twitchy at all.
As the snow gets deeper and I have more opportunity to run the clutch under long full boost pulls I will report back on this thread.
But for now, for Saturday's ride, I just couldn't be HAPPIER with its over all performance.
Literally, from the MOMENT I drove off the trailer I instantly felt the difference and REMEMBERED how much I loved the first kit on my Yammi.
If you are considering a new Clutch Kit, I couldn't give a stronger endorsement.
