Revelstoke 2012 - 13

Just a quick note, not sure if the conditions are the same in Revy, but across the lake in the New Denver area, I was buried in a slide yesterday. 2' shelf layer everywhere. Be safe and enjoy the long weekend.

There is definately a layer of ice under under the new snow. Thanks for the info and glad you made it back to post this rather then someone else reporting it for you!

HM turbos will be in Revy on December 8.

Turbo Days will be held in Revelstoke on December 8 th. It will be at the Sugar Bowl from 10-4 . This will be an opportunity for people to throw a leg over an Hm kit and test it out. We will have a few different variations of kits there that people can check out and ride. Snow conditions, weather and avalanche conditions will be taken into consideration. This will not be an organized event, only a fun ride with a friends sharing stories and testing out our kits. Our 800 and 600 turbo kits will be there along with our naturally aspirated package. Hope to see you there.

Besides that bad layer, how was the snowpack looking up high. How was the coverage?

Staging...

Staging at 4km on the Kirkup, some were driving up to the old Decking site at 6km, but very limited parking, and a steep slippery switchback enroute. 4Km is your best bet.

2 to 3 feet of fresh today!

staging..

Staging is at 4km now, and backs up from there at the wide points to pull out in. Some skecthy thin road riding to just past 6km, then drop your scratchers for the rest. Groomer has started up from about 5km.

Good fresh up top, visibility wasnt the best today, drifted in and out. Watch out for the creek and drainage draws, ..saw too many people today nosed into these drainage draws that haven't closed up yet, they are everywhere at this time of the year. Easy way to get hurt, especially in low vis conditions.

Good early season snow up top, thin on the lower trails.

Cheers

Only took three pics yesterday, loaded them up today, thought that I would post them. These were down in Area 57 on Boulder. Pretty good early season snow overall, but still need lots to cover the drainages, creeks and boulders through the lakes!

Cheers!

How is the Honda running this year?
