I thought when the GEM modules went they interior lights didn't work at all along with the wipers and one other thing, but I can't remember it. I would spray some wd40 down by your latches and the little door sensors. It sounds like the contacts on the switch are sticking and its not recognizing the door is closed and is therefore keeping the lights on.

I'll search for a GEM module sounds spendy...every once in awhile my interior lights flicker on and off very quickly and I hear a relay chattering at the same speed. one of my doors has been troublesome for years saying it was open.
where are the sensors? I'm used to seeing the mechanical switch but there is nothing even close.
in addition my rear brakes started grinding today and my front wheel bearing I notices is grinding. damn all at once just before a 600 mile trip PITA. oh and she wouldnt start this morning - checked the glow plug relay and it checks out?????WTF
