Raptor Khaos Conversion Kit

Got mine installed yesterday. Mine being an SKS had two limiter straps but I just installed one of the longer ones. I was able to take some spring tension of the rear spring and added some to the front track spring hopefully this works well. I can always ride it and then adjust.

Your front track shock is upside down...........

Your front track shock is upside down...........

Supposed to be like that. As matter of fact I think the eyelet bushings are different size on the top through bolt than it is on the bottom cross shaft. I certainly didn't take the bushing out of the base of the shock. Here a pic of another one.

Got two days on the raptor khaos shock eyelet and limiter with stock pro rmk rails, anti stab and the raptor triple rate springs.
I left front track shock stock to keep it stiffer for more transfer.

Pops front end up nicely over logs and creeks where it would just lawn dart in before.
Seems easier to throw around on edge.
Gives up a bit climbing as to be expected with the increased transfer but easy to manage with a bit of brake control if front end gets to high.

Overall very happy with kit.
Adds a lot more fun factor to the pro.

I have a 2018 Pro Axys 155 and am looking at ordering the Khaos kit for the stock Walker Evans shocks and was wondering how easy is it to change the eyelet? Does it just screw off? 2nd ? Is do I need the anti stab wheels? Tried ordering but Ice Age is out of stock and wont have any in this riding season. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Troy

It’s really easy to do. It comes with aluminum clamps for the shock rod, just put it in the vice, use a propane torch to soften the loctite, and spin off the old eyelet. 2 minute project once the shock has been removed from the skid.

Ice Age told me I didn’t need an antistab, but I used their Khaos rails, which tip up more.

I have your same exact setup. Raptor kinetic with the Khaos convesion eyelet and limiter strap. Any way you could post your Front track shock spring length? Raptor says in the instructions to run 8.0 to 8.25 with the original setup. Now with the new eyelet after install I'm around 7 3/4" FTS spring. Thats with the sled on the stand. That is as loose as I can run it. Just curious what he is having you run yours at. Thanks :)
Have you made any progress on this? I had raptor kinetics on my 2018 pro and got a nextech carbon fiber khaos profile skid and the raptor khaos conversion kit. I got it all installed and the longest i can make the installed spring length is 7.5". It also looks like my new limiter strap from nextech is shorter than the pro limiter and the email conversation i'm having with the nextech guy is going in circles. He can't tell me if thats the khaos strap or not and he says i could upgrade to the adjustable khaos strap but i need to be carefull not to allow the shock to top out. I don't understand what he's saying, and its probably just a smokescreen cause they ****ed up, but installed on my pro before the khaos conversion kit my spring length was 7.75" and uninstalled it was 8" and I had somewhere between 1/2 and 1/4 threads left before it was maxed out. Now with the longer eye piece installed I'm only getting 7.5". I have the pro/khaos limiter strap coming from Raptor. I tried explaining this kit to the nextech guy but he keeps warning me the shock is going to top out. It's pretty weird. Why would the khaos strap be shorter than the pro? It doesn't make any sense and it seems like he's trying to save me from myself instead of just telling me what the deal is. Seems to me if you have 1/4" preload then the shock is compressed another 1/4" once installed you're good to go. I'd rather have the benefit of the longer khaos strap... that's the whole purpose of this mod.

Haha, anyway... what did you end up with for your shock length?

Well ...Put this kit on just chewed up a brand new set of extrovert drivers with it. Apparently this kit doesn't work on the 174 skids? Couldn't even load the sled on the f'ing deck without the skid binding up and freezing the track.

I bought khaos rear fox zero 1.5qs3 coil shocks. Khaos limiter and anti stab kit for my 18 rmk 163 and wow what a difference. I road it at Rmk setting the first day and it was just as planted as it was before I changed the shocks. Then the nxt day I adjusted it to 3/4 of the way tight on fts and 3/4 of the way loose on the rear and it was a night and day difference. I was going to go back to a 155 rmk for nxt season, but know I'm not sure, because I had so much fun

So after taking this back apart, the moral of the story is, the rails were not trimmed properly for extrovert drivers. I do not believe this was the fault of the raptor kit.

This is on a 2018 Axys 174, Raptor kit installed, and suspension mounted in the assault hole.

I've removed the skid and trimmed another inch off the rails. My main question is - These are brand new drivers, do you guys think they're safe to run with 3 or 4 chipped teeth? I sure don't want to tear a brand new track up.

Tighten front track shock so your limiter strap is almost tight with out you sitting on the sled. That will help and it looks like your rail is still going to hit your driver before you stab rollers from the pics.

Hey I just put my Raptor conversion kit onto my 19 Pro Rmk 850 tonight. I went with the Eyelet, Longer limiter strap and Rail tip Anti stab kit. I was wondering if anyone had alot of trouble getting the skid back in once you had the conversion kit installed.. It went into the track without an issue but lining up the skid bolts was ridiculous. Also wondering if I have my limiter strap in the right position for the Khaos setting?

The limiter strap is TIGHT! With the sled tipped over you can only get a bit of slack in between the anti stab and front of the track.

Thanks
