Seems like they would come out with one soon. Personally I am watching to see how the 8 holds up. For the type of riding I do, I would want to get an 8. In Michigan it is not as big of a deal but out west the 8 will be better. I'm heading out in less than 2 weeks.

I think it would be cool to see Pro 600. The problem with 600's these days is that they are priced so close to the 800's If they could produce an RMK version and have the price $1500 or cheaper, they could have a winner. Keep in mind there is already a Rush 600. The current 600 is a good 50 lbs heavier than the Pro 800!

Just wondering why a mfg would price a 600 $1500 cheaper than an 800. They allhave pretty much the same pieces. Do you think a 600 engine is that much cheaper to build than an 800?

I really like my 144 600 but I believe I will be going to a 155 next time. I really don't ride much trail anymore.

I have the Pro Assault 155 and want to get my wife a 600 in a 144, in the lighter (pro) frame, she's riding a 2006 rmk 144 now and will need a new sled for next season.

It definitely seems like a Pro-6 will be the next move for Polaris. If the Pro chassis is a big hit, like it seems to be so far, then they would be crazy not to unveil it. I agree that it probably won't be too much cheaper than an 8 though. Either way, I think Polaris is got something here.

I think we are talking the same angle. Why would I buy a Pro RMK 600 for the same price as the 800 for my woman? I'll get another 800 instead (if they are so close in price). I think this is why the 600 isn't in the Pro Ride yet. Polaris did an excellent job with this debacle in the IQ chassis. They made a Shift which didn't have the "better" shocks, brakes, windshield, bars, graphics, etc to bring down the price. I don't care how much it cost Polaris, I care how much it cost me. Polaris cares about both of those.

My guess is that it will be in PRO chassis next year, it might be a mid season release. I also would not be surprised to see a DI variant on the 600 before it shows on the 800.

700

still think Polaris' biggest mistake is dropping the 700 motor. That was the best engine they've made. It will take a couple years of good reliability for the 800 motor to make me want to switch back to Polaris.

Guessing we will see a 2011 mid season release of a PRO 600 mtn sled. THIS IS JUST A PERSONAL THEORY.

I don't know if it's a situation of inventories of iq raw chassis, economical expectations, demand, existing marketing plan, or a combo of all. I hope it's just a done deal and we get em...SOON!

It's pretty exciting. The new sled chassis is just so outstanding and light that a 600 is really perfect. I have thousands and thousands of miles of personal riding experience on the small block 600cc both in cfi and carb'd versions and there is just some weird unexplainable "FEEL" that that smaller engine offers in the sleds off camber riding. They just feel lighter and more nimble even though it's almost no actual physical weight difference.

There is a 660cfi PRO custom in the works...that is going to be super cool. If I get to ride it YOU"LL hear about it!:face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap

I would really like to see a 2012 600 Pro RMK in 144 and 155 with the coil over skid... they might as well make it in both the Assault and Pro platform while they're at it! :face-icon-small-coo
And yea I wish they still had the 700 motor too

If they come out with a 2012 600 Pro Assault and make it beefy enough for me to REALLY have fun I am pretty sure I will have my first snowcheck experience.

Six hundo will happen, could even be DI. They are just leveraging the IQ one more year, while they work issues out of the pro 800 chassis, less volume, more cache. I would hope the 600 CFI is offered, too, even if a 6DI is offered. They'll sell a bunch with the rep the pro RMK is building.

Super fun play sled

600 CFi lighweight skid, Polaris should build a new track for this one... a 2.25" lug series 5.1 146 with 85 durometer.
