Pro RMK vs. Ski Doo XP

He's Candadian, what do you expect? He dad probably works at the plant.

He also mentions that the Pro Ride has a similar chassis to the IQ. What???? Did you even ride the sled? He also says his gut feeling is that the Pro is better but he has to pick a sled off of the facts. So he choose the Doo because of the numbers on paper. Hmmmmmm...

Brandt rides whatever brand pays him the most, of coarse he is not going to endorse the competition..

If you ever talk to him ask him about the IQ chassis. He doesn't like it and never did. He endorses the Pro Ride. He also said the AC had great power in the (then) new 2010 HO. He's a pretty straight forward guy.

i did watch him ride that iq chassis, for not liking it he sure made it work. it reminds me of when morgan switched to skidoo from arctic cat, he still won races.

Have you not heard him say "those of you who think I switched to polaris to ride the dragon obviously don't know me very well." I rink he was better on the m than the dragon. And way better on the pro than the m
but sorry skidoo guys. You'll. Never see him on an xp. Btw polaris doesn't pay him. They give him sleds but they don't actually pay him. Brett either. Arctic cat just gives him the sleds

Yeah I will trust the reviews from the people that have never ridden anything but the mountains, not some Canadian on his 2nd or 3rd trip out.

LMFAO!!! thanks Snowmobiler you settled the argument with some flatlander who rides in the mountains 3 times a year!!

Feels like the Dragon huh, wow they pay this guy to evaluate sleds??

now I think about it that's you isn't it Snowmobiler??? even you had a hard time admitting that the Pro is better then the XP, that's alright when you go and ride for the "Best Mountain Sled Ever" pull a spark plug wire off the Pro so the other 3 aren't so far below the Pro!!:face-icon-small-win

So says "American Snowmobiler"...Did they draw up these conclusions based on their 1st or 2nd out of 3 trips to the mountains from Minnesota or wherever that kick a ss magazine is from...

Wow Riley, I mean WyoPro, you sure have it in for Minnesota riders don't you. I know of a lot of excellent mountain riders from Minnesota who invest thousands of dollars in equipment and transportation just to ride the West. Your beloved Polaris sleds are made in Minnesota, so I guess they don't know how to build a sled either since they are from the Midwest? By the way, don't you have a lot of sheep in Wyoming?

Haha...ya I don't have anything personally against people from Minnesota. But, like stated above. I take what they review with a grain of salt.

I thought that piece put up by American Snowmobiler was pretty unbiased and pretty acurate thus far.....paraphrasing here but basicall; they havent finsihed their evaluations, and he loves the handling characteristics of the PRO but the E-tec is out powering it...

Pretty much my take so far too...and I've never owned a Ski-Doo in my life....bought new;

99 RMK 700 (twin pipes and 144" after market...rocked)
2000 RMK 800 (Twin pipes, reeds...rocked)
2001 RMK 800 (Stoker for back-up...went ok)
2x2003 RMK Vertical Escapes 800's (loved the vertical escapes, one simple slp'd, the other EVERYTHING lightweight, piped...GREAT sleds)
2005 Vertical Escape (piped, reeds, awesome again...but 163"...too long)
2007 Dragon 700 (blah...mistake...nice sled, but where's the POWR?)
2008 Dragon 800 (had no real issues with mine...picked it up vented and piped new...went fine...got it 163", changed back to 155")
2011 PRO Assault (bone stock...needs more power!)

The reason I added my Poo history, is I am very loyal to Poo and to my dealer...but some of my sleds ROCKED and some did not...this is a beautiful handling machine, but it needs work.....lots of work...the power is so-so in my opinion...

I am going to turbo this sled, because I dont have any other options

The best part of all is at :50 when he says "Ski-doo added the new E-Tec 800 and made signifigant changes to the front end geometry, all of which added up for our choice of the best sled of 2011..." something or other....Made changes to the front end geometry? Oh my:face-icon-small-sho

He has quite the accent! (The AmSnow guy) LOL! You say his a Canadian? I've met quite a few of our friends up north and have never heard one talk like that. Must be from Quebec....isnt' that where Bombardier is based out of? Oh well, I love my sled and nobody is going to change my mind.

Yes....they did :face-icon-small-sho

Seriously? From Canada? This guy had an Irish accent.

Don't forget that 160 HP E-Tec engine Brew. This engine runs so awesome that it makes up for any shortcomings the chassis may have. Its kind of like having a hot woman as your wife. The fact that she is hot makes up for the fact that she doesn't fix the bed in the morning.
