Pro Matryx review

the velocities on the pro are same length as a khaos now, limiter st

run a khaos limiter if you have velocity shocks, theres a good thread about this lower down

Yep. Pro Ride gets a Khaos limiter.

What rear suspension adjustments did you make
I added 3/8" preload to fts, took 3/8" or 1/2" out of rts - should have written it down - I keep moving by 1/8th's - rts is almost completely out of adjustment now - might be able to back it off another 1/8th. Even when the adjustment ring is completely backed off the rts still has some preload on it which I find weird.

Id say I had similar experiences as cateye on my Boost Pro 165 2.75. I messed with the shock preloads a bunch on my first day and I was still very disappointed no matter what I tried. That night I dropped the front of the skid to the bottom hole (drilled it out) and it reacts like my axys now plus is way more playful.

Fwiw, I went from bummed and honestly having regrets to giggling like a school girl and it still climbed as good or better than my silber axys 163.

I was bummed and having serious regrets too. I like it way better now. I may have to try dropping the front of the skid.

if your worried about front end weight, adjust the rear skid until your happy. I havent received my 850 na pro yet but i borrowed 1 for the week end and loved it. found the front end to dangle quite nicely after a few adjustments. lots of power, found no issue with handling. The suspention geometries are identicle between the Axys and the Matryx. The only thing i found was they do run hot on a setup hard trail with out the flap.
Dangle? Is that really a word?

Get the Khaos for sure. Just spent 4 days on a Khaos Slash Boost 155. Conditions first day were foot of fresh on firm snow. Absolutely hated the handling. Felt like a Pro chassis with how heavy the front felt & all the ski pressure. Adjusted the rear shocks & it helped but preferred the handing of my friends Axys Khaos That was riding with me. Days 2, 3 & 4 were epic conditions of 3 feet of fresh snow. The weight of the front was less apparent but still felt it at times during technical side hills. Possibly this is due to the increased weight of the Boost but I feel like Polaris dialed down the play fullness of the Matryx Khaos compared to the Axys Khaos. Still great sled as the Boost motor is absolutely fantastic & the track/ tunnel design flat out works. Just bit miffed by the handling.

So for those that kept their Axys and bought a Matryx which do you prefer and why? Still some Axys chasis sleds available and I am considering picking one up. Thanks.

I prefer the Axys NA to the Boost Matryx. Never did get my NA Matryx so I can't say if it's better but I would be willing to guess it's better than the Axys. I would only take people who have NA Matryx opinions.

Deep snow performance, the short tunnel is a game changer. Matryx will go further, simple physics.

Handling is very close.
I really like the narrow tank on the Matryx, u can finally, comfortably move ur feet towards the tunnel without the bulging tank pushing ur legs out.

If u want to do back flips, bowties, re-entries and all those cool moves. The Matryx does those so much easier. If not, Axys is a great chassis.

If ur constantly riding 2ft or more, the Matryx will perform better. If ur like a lot of us and ur happy when 1ft of new snow arrives, there won't be much difference between the 2.

This. My riding has gone next level this year, even though the handling of the sleds feels close. Matryx gives you a wider margin of error. Hard sled to get stuck, but when it’s stuck it’s stuck lol. Break out the shovel
