You're so focused on the details, you miss the point. Which brings up the next point: AR can read, and unlike you, can comprehend ideas. i.e. you got the 'part', regardless of where it came from.

Ya know, about 15 years ago, I was out of town riding around Wenatchee/Leavenworth for several days. I'd recently bought a used Polaris Indy 600 (I said this was a long time ago), and it bogged/ ran crappy. I went into the dealer in Wenatchee and talked to a service manager named Jack.
He determined there had been some updated carb needles and mine didn't have them. Parts didn't have any in stock. Jack found a set on his work bench and sold them to me.

The point is: I don't remember if I paid full retail or not. I was so happy to be up and running; I told everyone I met for years what a great shop that was and to go see Jack.....No whining on my part at all.......

A used worn out part that prolly would find its way to the trash and you charge a guy full retail? Just me or would it make sense to give a price break or better yet just give him the part? Bet that junk part would of gain a life time customer and most likely a thread on here saying how good they were to him. So you could of a gave away a free part and have the potential gain a customer that for all you know could buy three new sleds next year.... maybe I dont know business but the math seems pretty easy to me.

The fact that the whiner needed it to get back on the snow proves it was not worthless, doesn't it?

I guess I'm just tired of people coming on the forums whining about some shop owner who didn't kiss their azz properly when they went into the shop and bought some small item from them.
Yes, customer service goes a very long way in my book too but in this fouled up economy it's hard enough to keep the doors open without some unknown whiner trying his best to put the dealer out of business by flaming him.
I hate A-Holes too and I have to deal with them all the time.
I wouldn't want to try to take away their income though.

Hey RMK, Just wanted to let you know I was there when this happened!!!! The gal behind the counter was helping me. You amaze me, I do not recall Randy yelling at you, I recall you said you were worried about what your Daddy would do to you if he found out that you paid full price!!!! I seen the bushing it was in excellent condition like new, you could tell it had been installed but in great condition, and you agreed to the used part before Randy went out of his way to get you the d_mn part, and he did take the time to remove it from a spindle!!!! I think that was worth the extra 3.00 dollars he charged you!!!! You are the kind of person that looks for anything to p_ss about, I wanted to do nothing but help Randy show you the door!!!!!! And when you started complaining Randy held out his hand and said give it back and you held it to your chest and said, "No it's mine" you looked so foolish!!!!! Randy went above and beyond good customer service and this is what you do to him!!!!!!! You are a PUNK!!!!!
I ever see you in MY store I will escort your b_tt right out the door before you know what happened, It is in my opinion you do not have a clue about business at all and best to keep your back stabbing comments to your self!!!

I figured Randy would have had to pull the part from a spindle to sell it to this dweeb.
Why would he just have the bushing laying around?
Why wouldn't the used bushing still be attached to the spindle?
Who in their right mind would have pulled the bushing from the sled for no reason at all just to have it laying around unless someone came into the store looking for one?
