Not to throw Premier Pol under the bus, but I have heard many others comment on the crappy service from that shop. I just happened to get to see it for myself the other day. Wow, this is quite a stretch for such a subject. Let's see if we can get over 50 hits.
Holy S, that takes real balls to charge new prices for used parts that came off another customers sled .
Thats messed up Will, you apparently dont know the truth about Randy and his dealings, bitter about being let go? hey was it the same at waldrons and at the harley dealer? By the way nice 800 iqr......What shop did you take those parts come from heh?Sorry was looking for a house to buy in Monroe to be close to my favorite new polaris dealer Truth is Randy is lucky enough to take advantage of his mother in law's money to buy a dealership and we should let him enjoy it while it last....before you know it he will be broke working at McDonalds asking you if you want fries with that Thanks Eric for pointing out I put it all out there, pride myself in that! Justin is a good friend and I give him props for moving on, I seem to lack that skill!
Eric,
How is this for wasting a first post? I'm an ex-employee and I'm not hiding behind my screen name. lol. I've been watching these posts as well and I've decided to voice my opinion.
I worked for Randy for 2 years. I didn't always approve of his selling tactics, taking old parts off of sleds and trying to get full boat. When that happened I just walked away and talked about it later with him. That is part of the reason I left when I did. I don't like the do or say whatever it takes to make the sale whether it's truth or lie. I'm a truthful person who doesn't want to see a NB on something way to much for them to handle. I love the sport too much to see someone get hurt.
I'll still buy parts from him when I need them due to location but for the most part I deal with John, Everett and Mike at Pierres.
Thanks for setting it straight, ive met ya at PP when you were there and quite frankly not a bad person at all, just dont know about all the gossip that goes on on this washington forum one person says this about that person and on and on and on. Id like to take neutral sides to the issues cause i dont give a crying hoot who *****es about this and that, thats thier problem.Well Im great friends with the whole Waldrons crew and ride with them all the time and I never got fired so not sure what you mean.....and I work for Downtown Harley as we speak so I dont follow. The IQR that is in my pictured is sitting at Premier for sale and the one I have now has different front and rear suspension, hood, clutching, seat, tank, tunnel etc so not sure what parts I took, again confused. Word was Randy thought I took some walker air shocks or something, they would be about 5in to short for my sledReally would like to know what all these great parts are that I suppose to have, would of made my build alot cheaper! Bitter, not at all. Do I want everyone to know what a piece of sh!t he is and try to keep others for being burned...yes. To each there own, dont effect my life either way.
There are lots of options for buying parts; it’s the customer service that brings me back to a shop.
Just a thought...
But to continue that thought...
He could have stuck to his original answer he gave and that was "No" he didn't have another part in stock and after the customer asked him if he was sure about that Randy went in the back, found one on a sled, removed the part and sold it to him so he could ride.
I have NO IDEA what type of guy Randy is because I've never met him or had the need to buy anything from him but that right there IS customer service.
I agree that was good customer service. I think where things went wrong was when the customer questioned full retail for a used part. From what I have read (I was not there) he had some attitude about it. He could have said sorry I don't have any in stock but what I can do is pull one from a sled in back, but I'll have to charge you full price so I can replace that part. If he had just grabbed it out of the used parts bin in back, sell it to him cheap or just give it to him. The customer will remember this and reward you with his future business.
I would have been happy to pay a measly $6.00 for the part, thanked him for taking care of me and went home to install the part so I could ride.
$6.00 is pocket change.
Again, I agree. $6 to get your sled going for the weekend, that’s a bargain. But some people are hard to please. As a dealer it is your job to make them happy so they come back. Loose a few bucks now, make the customer happy and you will end up ahead in the long run.
How much more would that part have cost him if the customer had to drive to another dealer to try to find it?
A helluva lot more than $6.00 in gas alone.
Talk about biting the hand that just fed you.
I hope somebody got a thrill over trashing my rep for giving my third-party account of what I saw go down at Premier Polaris... I hope I will still be able to pull my life back together...Boo Hoo
