Thats just it, almost every species that has been reintroduced or somehow protected has to be managed in some way. Hunters and the revenue produced through tags and draws have paid for most of, if not ALL of, the cost for wildlife management and have managed it successfully except for hunting the wolves because the feds wont allow it to happen. So it will happen and alot of people will be made out to be criminals for doing it.

It is funny the people that stand up and say how hunting is wrong and they are all Gods creatures dont do anything for the animals they speak of. Fact is hunters do more for wildlife through purchasing tags than all other special interest groups combined.

Fact is, is the Idaho F&G admit to NOT having the elk population to their standards. They admit the #'s are 5-800 below what they want for SW Idaho. But they allow the wolf kill #'s to be sooooooo low that the elk population will never reach their projected levels.

Makes ya ? just what in the heck is happening, (other than $$$$).

Think about that for a moment. Facts are Facts. And YES I attend meetings that are FOR AND AGAINST the wolves. Both sides state very good arguments, BUT, a federal agency will lead you to believe that it is not a problem. But if you take the time and energy to explore the woods we live in, you will learn the TRUTH!!!

The people in DC controlling our livelihoods have no clue how the west works. Apparently, neither do the judges in Missoula, Mt. Just like Sawyer said, "shoot, shovel, shut up." My father and I saw a wolf in Yellowstone National Park in the winter of 91 southwest of fishing bridge. Complete political garbage. I grew up 56 miles outside the park. Re-introduction-94. 2 years later, the hunting drastically changed. You guys are right. Wyoming G&F does not specify on numbers. I have 3 friends that work for WGF and they are told to only comment on certain aspects of the wolf situation. What about the moose? Tag limits are less now. Cow-calf population of all herds of elk in the park? I only wonder what the answers to these questions are! I have a friend who lives just north of Meteetsee, Wyoming. The feds came in and illegally landed on his property and released wolves. What's going on here?!

I really don't know who the guy is, but I can say that I am against ALL blanket policies.

I am against mandatory minimum sentencing as well. You need to consider everything on a case by case scenario.

I used to work with the fish cop for that areas son, and he was telling us that guys neighbors would see him load up some of the hybrid wolves he had and leave and come back empty. Turns out he was just dumping them out in the country. Ligertown No Idea what was going through that guys head.
