really cause thats what your liberal judge friend molloy is doing...

Mile couldn't remember the secret liberal handshake, so Molloy no longer considers him a friend.

Why if people tend to have liberal views on only couple of issues, are they lumped in with the liberal crazies beliefs on every subject? I mean, we are all snowmobilers here right? Isn't that against rule 42 of the liberal handbook or something?

Yes you better be ready, they were introduced to Id, Wy, and Mt, now they are in Wa, and Or. Not too long before they make it to Co, Ut, Nv, N & Sd, etc. QUOTE]

I saw one about a month ago in Sardine canyon between Brigham and Logan, UT. They are here. Everyone needs to remember that there is a reason people drove these things near extinction in the first place, they are nothing more than a big a$$ rat with absolutly no fear.

Thing is people hear EXTINCTION and they flip out. The Canadian wolf will never be extinct, they are thriving quite well in CANADA where they are NATIVE...they are not a native wolf in Idaho or Utah as far as I know. Why not bring African lions and giraffes into Idaho as well? That way we dont have to go to a zoo to see them we can go out in the wild and take pics!

We did have Ligers in Idaho...it was great fun!

Well, you obviosly don't know then. You don't think wolves aren't native to Idaho??
200 years ago they were there. Even 80- 100 years ago.

The Canadian wolf was native to Idaho? Hmm I thought they were the much smaller TIMBERWOLF that was native to Idaho...but then I did take history in Idaho so who knows.

Sorry had to fix that, didnt want people to think I was JUSTADUDE.

There is no such thing as a canadian wolf.
A wolf if a wolf is a wolf. Try North American wolf. North America covers a lot of area!! :face-icon-small-win

Oh really? Wow I learn something new everyday on here! So is there such a thing as a Kodiak Bear, Brown Bear, Black Bear or Polar Bear? Are they all North American Bears? What about Alaskan Moose? Canadian Moose? Very interesting..hmmm

That is fine with me, true or not. I really don't know the exacts. But seems reasonable to me.
Which only proves and you now admit that wolves are native to Idaho, which was my only point!

Point is the Canis Lupus/Gray wolf native to CANADA are much larger than their cousins in the US and there is far less range and less/smaller prey down here to suit them...hows that?

I never said wolves werent native to Idaho, I said the CANADIAN wolf ,which you said doesnt exist, wasnt native to Idaho. We had TIMBERWOLVES which are much smaller and have never had problems with them, the CANADIAN wolf has run them off, killed them, they are all but gone now. You must be a speedreader only read what you want to read....missin most of what was said.

I think we have an issue of semantics here.

PS. I failed my speed reading course!!;)

On the point of Canadian Wolf. There is no such thing specifically named Canadian wolf. I would guess what you are referring to is the Grey wolf. Yes you find them in Canada, Alaska, and probably other places as well.
They have probably always competed against each other since the dawn of time. As wilderness shrunk at the hands of man it was easier for the Grey wolf to slowly kill them off in Idaho or at least nearly take them out or push them even further South or where ever they went.
If this is the case, it could be debate that even the Grey wolf would be natural/native to Idaho.
Sounds like simple evelution at work. The strong survive.

Semantics aside.

I do not support the introduction of animals into an ecosystem.
I do support the re-introduction of animals into an ecosystem.
There is a big difference.
I also believe in game management and the means wolves as well.
