polaris service sucks

I can't believe it took 18 posts before someone came up with the obvious best answer to your dilemma.
Now's your golden opportunity to turn a bad situation into a good one by improving your sled.
I thought the exact same thing when I had first read this thread. But as I had earlier stated, they should have these or any other parts available in a timely manner.

i think its so funny how folks think other manufacturers will be way better or perfect i guess the old grass is greener deal :face-icon-small-dis
its all about dealer !
a good one will bend over backwards to make your season enjoyable

sorry about your tunnel/season man that sucks

ps beat that tunnel strait and rivet some plates of alum. to it and ride that pig !
just some thoughts

I buy a ton of ski doo parts and a ton of polaris parts every summer and winter (atv's & snowmobiles). I promise you when it comes to parts in stock the grass is DEFINITELY greener on the BRP side of the hill. Poo parts seem to always be back ordered both summer and winter.

my dealer would pull whatever parts off a crate sled if that was what it would take. you need a new dealer.

So your dealer is gonna tear down a brand new pro, drill out all the rivets and replace a tunnel for you to get you back up on the snow? Not gonna happen. Guaranteed!

I had this same thing happen in February. The standard and pro tunnels are the same. Front cooler sold seperate. I ordered an assault tunnel, drilled a new front skid mount hole and had the part in less than 10 days.

Guess what? I received word that Polairs delivered the parts ordered back in January this week. Hooray. Did I mention, Polaris sucks.

Polaris Sucks? because your dealer sat on your parts for four months and did not realize or admit they had them? Clueless morons!

You my friend need a new dealer!

I'm with you on this one!!! My jackshaft bearing failed 3 weeks ago and took out my jackshaft. Parts are on back order till April.. This is on my 2013 pro. I don't know why they can't pull one off an assembly line or do something to take care of there customer. Frustrating for me right now.

Did you see the bearing? In the case of my sled, the jackshaft has failed twice now, the bearing is fine. The jackshaft is wearing under the bearing. The shaft is spinning inside the bearing race. I believe there is much larger problem going on here than polaris would like to acknowledge publically
I had to beg for a jackshaft also. Seems strange for such a common part to be on backorder. It was also on backorder in February the first time it failed
How many miles on the sled?

There is nothing wrong with the bearings or the jack shaft! It is the attention to the details during assembly that are causing your grief. You need to find a dealer with a real mechanic not a parts changer to pay attention to the small details during assembly. Only then will it perform as designed and last thousands of miles, trouble free.
