polaris service sucks

I bought a new pro 2012 and another 2013. In late January, I bent the tunnel on the 2013 doing a creek crossing. 2 months later, I still don't have parts to fix the sled. Polaris keeps pushing back the date for shipping the tunnel. At this point, I figure I am done for the season. If Polaris can't provide parts in the middle of the season, I am not buying any more of their sleds. Guess it's back to skidoo.

I heard about some guy that got the Assault-tunnel instead when he bent the tunnel on his Pro-RMK chassie. That one had some diffrent product number and was in stock.

Maby something to look in to if its possible at your dealer?

i think its so funny how folks think other manufacturers will be way better or perfect i guess the old grass is greener deal :face-icon-small-dis
its all about dealer !
a good one will bend over backwards to make your season enjoyable

sorry about your tunnel/season man that sucks

ps beat that tunnel strait and rivet some plates of alum. to it and ride that pig !
just some thoughts

You know why the grass is always greener? Because it's fertilized with bull****!

He should not have to beat that tunnel straight.
They should supply any part in a timely manner. :face-icon-small-coo
Where is the service in this service industry? :face-icon-small-dis

A solution to the problem: Ask your dealer if you can get the assault or regular RMK chassie instead.

Yes, you probably get a couple of pounds heavier machine with that bigger coolingsystem, but you probably dont have to wait two more month. With the Assault-chassie there is just two pre-stamped holes they have to drill out to fit the track like the Pro-RMK.

I'm with you on this one!!! My jackshaft bearing failed 3 weeks ago and took out my jackshaft. Parts are on back order till April.. This is on my 2013 pro. I don't know why they can't pull one off an assembly line or do something to take care of there customer. Frustrating for me right now.

Actually, my dealer has been great. They have been in constant contact with the Polaris reps trying to get me a replacement tunnel, and have even given me a loaner pro to ride while mine is down. Its the company that sucks.

FYI, lines are mostly building ATV/UTVs this time of year. Only sleds built in spring are the utilities, etc. I'm sure poo is keeping sled parts inventory at a minimum, especially in spring, gearing up warehouse locations with ATV parts, with sled vendors replenishing in smaller lots. Some parts will be on backorder till summer when the builds start. It's common in the industry, particularly for AC and Poo. Yep, service stinks, we deserve better, just one of those industries that can get away with it under the guise of keeping costs down.

I could understand getting angry at Poo if it was there fault that the tunnel bent and it was a warranty issue. You should have insurance.

:face-icon-small-dis What difference does it make if it is warranty or insurance, he can't get replacement parts?

Yes you are correct and as well with the guy who started this post the dealer has been great... I love the sled, but for a guy who has been solid ski doo since 05 and never had a parts issue like this... I just dont think its right... Im in the process of trying to find a wrecked one with low miles.. just for parts

Well if he had insurance, they would of wrote the sled off and he would of been riding a new one. Insurance wont make you wait 6 months

thats great your dealer has been helpfull but my dealer and probably others
(xcracers maybe) would have gotten you back on the snow one way or another i meen geez tunnels arn't rocket science rivets and alum. and a couple hammers whala !

anyway i don't know the whole story and its none of my nevermind
hope it gets figured for ya soon

I would be looking at aftermarket tunnel in stead if it was my dime .

I can't believe it took 18 posts before someone came up with the obvious best answer to your dilemma.
Now's your golden opportunity to turn a bad situation into a good one by improving your sled.
