Polaris reports sales up 247% for 2010-2011 season

Well its good to see the Doo guys are still slumming over here with us Poo folk. Dont worry next year when Ski Doo comes out with a new Summit you guys can come back over here and tell us how SUPER it is!!!!!

I believe they sell more quad/sideXsides than sleds. It blows my mind how many UTV's they sell now for the $10,000 + price tag. I have a feeling that now they own GEM they are flirting with a street legal UTV idea that might even be gas powered rather than electric. That won't hurt the stock price.

So the sales guy at my dealership told me that in the U.S. and Canada, Polaris ATV sales outpace Snowmobile sales 20:1

A stated 247% increase in sales without details or a breakdown leaves a lot to interpretation.

I can say this...the dealership I'm getting my Pro from doubled their order of Pro's from last year and sold them all by June 20th. Long before the first one was delivered. I don't know what that number is but a 100% increase of a single model, especially in the mountain segment, is significant.

BTW I know it was June 20th because that's the date my wife ordered mine and the manager remarked that she was lucky to have ordered the last one.

I have to agree about not having any details or breakdown of sales leaving a lot open to interpretation. Good Point!

I have heard the same thing about the dealers nearly doubling their sales of the Pro this year as well. Seems there are many people who rode other brands that are changing brands this year ...based on the phenomenal success of the Pro last season. Polaris hit this one out of the park!!

All I know is last season I was one of a handful of guys on a Pro. This year on my first 3 rides over half the sleds I have seen are Pros. Its insane how many of these sleds are on the snow up here in AK. I'm sure its going to be the same everywhere.

I also love all the Doo haters out there that get their panties in a knot when something better comes along. :becky:
