Polaris Pro RMK (Dump em boys)

So, I have been a loyal Polaris rider in everything Polaris makes. I'm done!!!

I bought the 07 Dragon, 08 dragon, 09 dragon and 7 motors in all. I purchased the 2011 RMK Pro in a last attempt to hang on as a loyal customer. I got 600 miles on this machine (totally stock) and the cylinder skirt broke and blew 3 holes thru the case! Totally fried the entire motor once this happens. Took it back to the dealer the day of the motor explosion and still no motor! It has been exactly 25 days and no sign nor even word from Polaris on my new motor. Apparently the motors are on back order???? Hmmmm, why would a brand new motor be on back order? Are they not producing the 2012 sleds as I type? Could they not pull a motor from production to send to the customer to get him running? Back to the question of "Motors on Back order". Since my sled has gone down, I have heard of 7 others in the last month, 4 of them, you guessed it, Cylinder skirts!

If you have the pro, SELL SELL SELL! If you hang onto it for next season you won’t get Jack for it. The motor issues will be too well known and not a soul will pay for them.

After 17 years of Proud and Loyal Polaris commitment, I AM DONE!!!

HEY POLARIS, KISS MY ARS!!! I, along with several others I know of are done supporting your crap!!!!!!!!!

WE WANT TO RIDE!!!!!

Thats not a very good first post... I feel bad for you man. I havent heard about too many problems with the new motor. Hopefully you are happier riding something else.

Yeah but if you paid 12 grand for a sled and rode it just as it came out of the box and it grenaded a motor after 2 months worth of ridding you would not be mad? I wouldnt give up on Polaris. The Pro is an awesome machine. Sounds like your dealer is really ****ty.

Hmmm, sounds like a pattern to me. Usually when this happens there is a good reason, and it's not normally the manufacturer.
I have been riding Yamaha for years and rarely hear of a blown motor, but I know some guys that blow multiples. There is definately a reason.:face-icon-small-con

my riding buddy just got his pro back last week after 4 weeks waiting for a motor, and his dealer is one of the best in the nation. And oh yea i just spent 4 hours last night towing another one out of the back country with a blown crank. By my count that is the 7th different pro i know personally with motor issues. They just simply dont have enough motors to replace the broken ones. Too bad cause the pro is an awesome sled... polaris just needs a real motor...

Nice! Just snowchecked a 2012. Looks like i will let the dealer keep it. Anyone got a good price on a 2012 cat? 10,500 out the door....... Tax included takes my 2012 orange 163 if anyone wants it. Lol!

as you heard off. butt how many are sold that works! you haw to think off the amount sold and the failur ratings. a unhappy customer tells it to 7-10 persons and a happy one tells 2-3 persons so thing have a tend to inflate!!

my 02cent;)

Sorry to hear of the troubles. Hope things improve for you! Keeping my 2011 PRO and snowchecking another PRO for my son. Very happy so far.

Wow! Join date April 2011. Three dragons, seven motors, and now your pro lost a motor and you are just now joining to pi$$ and moan? You should be ready to take the whole Polaris shop hostage until they can get you a reliable motor. I would have snapped long ago and switched brands after the second motor went down. Either you have way more patience than me or I smell a troll.

Till you go to the cat section and see that they have issues too?

SKIRT PRBLEMS

SKIRT PROBLEMS ARE DEF AN ISSUE WITH THESE MACHINES....LOCAL GUY JUST GOT HIS BACK AFTER SAME EXACT ISSUE....34 DAYS LATER AND HE WAS RIDING AGAIN....SEEMS POLARIS DOESNT UNDERSTAND THE WORD TOLERANCE.

First post? Yeah....

Maybe we should sell our Pro's. But then again, AC loses diamond drives and the eTecs are losing rings left and right. So, I guess that means that we should just abandon the sport altogether right? I notice that there are some people that just bash the Pro - ironic that they ride another brand. IF what you say is true then keep bugging your dealer to get you a motor. Don't come in here and expect us to sell our sleds. Mine rips, I love it, it rocks and I'm riding it until the snow is gone.

It's this kind of thing that ruins this 4M.

They all have issues. I am joking around! I have owned 8 new sleds in the past 6 years. I have never blown a stock motor. Big Bore yes! I run 2 gal of race fuel and a little oil in every tank. And i had some so called "Bad motors" This will be my 1st polaris. But i will do the same as i have in the past an hope for the best. If i do blow it i would hope i would'nt have to wait more than a week to get fixed. That part does worry me!

I left Polaris after my assault blew up on the first ride only 3.1 miles down the trail, went to AC and bought an M-8 that I have absolutely loved. Never had issues with it and don't have any reason to dislike the brand. When it came time to buy a new sled this year I waited for the AC, looked at the sleds and spent a lot of time thinking about it, but still ended up snow checking a poo pro because it was the best sled available at the time.
