Anything made by man can break, it is only a matter of time.
The name dropping is getting old, move on and ride what you ride!

Davidoff was a hardcore Yamaha/Cat guy who went from a 155 Polaris to a 163 Polaris to a Stock Ski Doo this year and he said The Polaris won't do what the Doo can do. It's still on his Facebook if you want to read it.
all kinds around here.my last 2 rides seen 6 different pros were being towed out.no cats, doos or 1970 stuff.
i really dont care,just what i seen.good luck
Again - you don't know what you're talking about. We have had (still have) two 2017 Axys that have been out on several demo rides. Afaik, no 2017 doos have visited the area for the general public to ride. So it depends where you live. Neither has pre season demos in 174" ...simply a less popular model, and they only build a few pre seasons sleds, so it probably doesn't make sense.Idk why you doubt it. If you wanted to ride the 850 this demo season it was pretty easy not to mention you could go to Revy and find one on any given day just about. If it's not true then a whole **** ton of people rode them that aren't buying them cuz like I said lots of people got to ride em unlike Polaris' demo days that doesn't exist. I have posted this elsewhere before but I will repeat it because it needs to be heard. In our group/area, the majority of sleds are Polaris. Nevertheless, the Doos that have been with us have broken down on the mountain more often than the Polaris sleds. This is noteworthy because there were many more Polaris sleds. One would think that even if the two brands were equal in quality, there would have been more broken Polaris sleds due to the higher number of Polaris sleds on the snow here. However, the reverse was what we have seen. I don't know why but I do know that I have participated in hauling out more Ski Doos than Polaris sleds over the years riding in Southwest Idaho. I think that the Axys is a much more reliable sled than the previous Polaris sleds too. The flatlander sleds with the H.O. motor have two seasons under their belts and there are no reports of catastrophic engine problems. Finally, the Ski Doo 850 may be a great engine but the chassis is still an XP which is an anachronistic design. The narrow front end, T motion and the flex track have helped but it is a band aid approach versus developing a totally new chassis like the Pro. The Axys is a second generation Pro chassis. It works very well. I am happy with mine.

If the G4 is an xp chassis then the axys is an iq chassis.
There is not one part that they have in common.

You mean like Where they took the 850 to Mt baker shootout for 4 straight days for the general public to ride? I called all my local Polaris dealers looking for a 174 demo axys when they had them but NO you can't ride it is what I received for a answer.
Dan gave the Axys a really nice plug as well and really enjoyed it when he rode ours a few days. Pol didn't have a 174" for 2015 or 2016, and i would venture that was a substantial decision factor for his type of riding. And again...it's not like I said the doos were junk. They are a good machine if you don't mind their quirks...I have owned a couple of them.
So davidoff really likes the latest sled he has gotten for free/cheap??
Wow what an amazing flash of the obvious.........
Thats like doorona saying all the guys he knows prefer doo?
"Majority of sleds he sees riding are doo!"
Really, when you are that far immersed in doo culture it must be an entirely unbiased observation.......
You aren't helping you're credibility here....
OH MAN! He really said that on his facebook?! That's pretty rad!
Honestly, who really cares, I've liked every $14000 toy I've owned too.
Are you really this arrogant in real life? I rarely go on the forum, but every time I open a thread you either 1) talk about how awesome you are or 2) talk about how much better ski doo is
To each their own man. Life is too short to get your panties in a wad on the internet if someone has a different opinion then you.
Believe it or not, some people actually enjoy going out and riding a snowmobile and not trying to ride above every person they see in the trees. Some enjoy doing that on a Polaris, some enjoy a ski doo, cat or a pig of a yami.
Everyone knows about guys like you.. see a group in the woods and you rip by them thinking you're hot **** and "showed them how it's done", but in reality no ones gives 2 Sh*ts.
No actually Davidoff didn't like either free Polaris that he had.
If it was that fun he woulda kept it..That's really weird cause I was standing there when he returned our demo and said he had an absolute blast on it. I guess he told you something different.
With regard to why I was talking about 2015 and 2016 sleds...well, he purchased a new sled a few months ago, and that's all there was available. 2015 leftovers and 2016 currents. If you wanted a 174" sled a few months ago...you either bought a Doo or a Doo. Did that really require clarification?
And who cares anyways...from what I gathered from Dan he was pretty stoked to ride anything. Good dude and a mountain man...would have ridden an XLT if that's what it took to get into the hills.
Again...you don't know what you're talking about. He never had a "free Polaris" other than our demo Axys we lent him a handful of times. There was no option to just "keep it." you read facebook, I do real life.If it was that fun he woulda kept it...
