Polaris axys vs. skidoo 850 backcountry sleds

Well, this went to $hit fast.. Guess snow is melting and summer is coming??

No clue on newer Doos, just don't see them around.

The snowest forums are like a Jerry Springer show these days, Read through the insulting brand bashing people bashing comments that people make and then scroll up and look at there age one can now see why our country is so divided, it is not just the younger generation anymore.
Something as simple as a brand of snowmobile turns people into a bunch of high school drama queens

THESE DAYS? You've been a member here for a long time. HAHA

I ride a 08 doo, 08 turbo Nytro, I don't know what the debate is about. I can get on either of these sleds and take them anywhere ANY of the new sleds can go. May be a little harder, but they all do the same thing, some just take a little more effort. I rode a 16 doo 174 and I thought it was extremely nimble. Hard to imagine anything much better.

BTW, just remember that it is because of doo that you have an axys. Basic chassis design is obviously inspired by Doo.

If we have Doo to thank, where have they been since 2011? Ummm, passed right up. My buddy with his 200hp M1000 always told me the same thing, until this year when I saddled up an Axys. NOTHING from 8 years ago compares, so keep dreaming. Anybody who has ridden one would have to lie to tell you otherwise. His M1000 just will not go the same places. Everybody works harder to keep up with the Axys, turbos, big bores, snowbikes...

What kind of dumb badge of honor is it to say I can do it, it is just harder? You can have that, and good luck keeping up.

As have you Scott, so 15 yrs ago did grown men act this way? On a forum where people come for knowlagable info.
And you Scott are right in the thick of it and as a moderator one would think you could rise above the drama!

Shaddup mtncat. Go push your personal beliefs on how people should act onto someone else.

Inspired by Doo, LOL. Ok , if you're gonna pot stir, at least make it kinda real. Cause the Pro chassis then the Axys was copied from the XP, bandaided of course , even made narrower in 17 , get real you must be mainlining the doolaid. Doo guys'll still be on a tank XP chassis if Poo and Cat hadn't made the changes in 11 and 12. Other than the etec, great motor, Doo is really playing catchup, and maybe doing ok in 17, we'll see.

I think He means' Inspired by Doo' = when the game changer REV was Intro In 03, the REV changed the whole game of snowmobiling with the first rider forward chasis!! BARNONE!!:amen:

A piston deto-ing itself to bits is not a design problem.
....ahhh, yes it is, and has been for 7-8 years now...not to mention poos' crap electrical problems...no matter how nice it handles, you need to be in a herd of them so you have someone to pull you out...that piston damage is more than detonation, more like piston skirt pieces bouncing around on top of the piston...and why is there such a good after market for polaris pistons ?...not a design problem ? ...now that's some good stuff there (poo-aid)

Well I wasn't trying to be so serious.
This forum has been a source of entertainment since I arrived in its infancy.

If you recall, there was ALOT of good natured smack talk and ribbing. Most of us from back then have eventually met each other in person and become good friends. Some of my best friends in my life have come from some heavy duty smack talk and fun.

We've all mutually engaged in some "fun".

I go WAY neck with DPG (Tetonice). I visited with him when he lost his wife. I've made many friends on here. I've watched friends bury their brothers on here. Many tears have been shed with experiences and interactions on this forum.

So in a round about way, YES grown men have been acting this way on the internet since Al Gore invented it. This forum is so much more tame and PC than it ever used to be. It's tame around here. It used to be a LOT worse.

Kanedog, your one of the problems on this forum, you trash everybody on snowest that doesn't agree with you or your beliefs.
And this will just cause you to spew more hate, discontent and drama.

I wasn't aware there was a "problem" on this forum. Why don't you become a moderator and show the world how to run an Internet forum?
Looking frwd to some of your whiny cryin sniveling reasons why you can't moderate. Now put up or shut up.
The mods pretty much dedicate their lives to this forum and if they wanna get in on the buffoonery once in a while, then so be it.

How did the skirt get to the top of the piston?

Neck is healing? What happened?
I know about that healing thing, darn footwell.
Sounds like a plan next year.

Absolutely!!!

Car accident...got rear ended in my commuter. Ruptured c-6 disc. Had disc replacement surgery in mid January. Rode up until surgery but it was painful.

When you're on IR and being sent pics everyday or seeing them on here, it can get to you. But I'm doing really well and will be trying my new carbon fiber helmet and neck brace.
