I just upgraded one of my atv from a 500 scrambler to a 2013 Polaris 850xp and I like the machine but it has no grunt compared to my 08 canam outlander 800. So I'm thinking that it might just need some clutching to bring it up to par. My question is has anyone that owns one of these machines messed with the clutching and gained anything from it?

While I haven't ridden a CanAm...I'd hardly say that 850 has no grunt LOL That CanAm must be unreal.

Most of the hunters here in the AK I know run the Hot Seat Performance clutch kit. Eliminates the low RPM slip and hits much more aggressively at engagement.

I'm sure there are others as well. Other than being co-workers and friends of the owners I have no personal Ranger / RZR experience.

Well it has good power just not the snap the canam has. So I might just try a kit and see how it works. I will report back.

I'd love a report. I've been happy with mine stock, but if there is clutching left on the table, I'm all for hearing about it.
