Pheasant hunting

Best of wishes for your dog Weekday. The hunting has been horrible around my area this year. At the start of the season I blamed it on all the corn in the fields but now with the majority of the corn out I'm wonder if the hawks have done that much damage to the population:mad:. When we would finish combining a field only 4 or 5 birds would come out of the field in the past it would be dozens. Sound like I going to have to head west for my limit. Might have to start hunting some other birds.

HUGE improvement this morning

she was moving around and had a much better attitude, the slump in the rear end was gone like in the pic above, and she was holding her self with a much better posture.

She's still hugging one of those oil filled radiant heaters I had set up, but this morning she'd gotten up to greet the wife and I as we climbed out of bed, then jumped over some christmas boxes the wife left out last night to run up stairs and greet the kiddies.

We might just have our old Libby back!

we start them young on this side of the HORNS

ww man your dog looks sick hope she gets better. my dog looked about the same when she was bit by a tick. got to the point where she couldn't walk and i thought maybe she got hit or ran over. here she just had the tick disese.

Nice Steph! I don't know about the hen killing though. ;) I will let it slide this time. ;) Nice looking pup...I had a springer once.

Pheasant hunting is my second biggest passion next to sledding. I love it. I wanted to get out last weekend, but I went to my son's hockey tourny instead. I go to SD every year....love it! This pic is from a couple years ago. I am in the middle and that is my choc lab. My dad's buddy is on the left and my dad is on the right.

Love to see labs, thats what I hunt with, from pheasants to chuckers, to ducks and geese. Is that your dog?

We have a dog that quit eating no energy etc. Just got him the vet here is fairly sure he got something from a tick. AB and lots of love and he's feeling better. Hope the same works for yours

Glad to hear your pup is feeling better Weekday!

Mafesto- I think she is telling you something. ;)

Here are a few pictures from MN.

Looks like you got here before it got cold. -8 this morning.

Yup was around the 17th of nov, lots of crops still in. We hunted up by Polo since you from the area.

Ill see your temp and raise you ......-13 walking to class this AM

that one dark rooster is sweet looking, were you hunting on a game farm? cuz i have shot one similar and never seen anyothere like it. but sweet bird.

It was a game farm. One of my sub contractors took us and paid for it. They called it a black pheasant. Cool looking birds.

If I recall I saw one up this way and we looked it up and they are a Mongolian Ring Neck pheasant, may be wrong on that though

takes people like you and me 5 minutes to shoot a limmy, there is alot of birds, so since there isnt hardly any snow yet anywhere get down here and shoot some of these things. all the corn should be out by now

theres still corn in all over. i havnt even pulled the trigger on the shotgun this year. waiting for some deep snow in the ditches. go by a dumby bird farm and run them over.

i wish we had someone video recording opening weekend a fews years back. cacsrx1 i think u were with. sky turned black and were done hunting within 20 minutes. were a few over the limit. that was one of the better years ive seen. prolly good this year as well but its damn hard hunting when no crops are stripped out.
