Spent 9 days in North Dakota and killed alot of birds. Big game season is over here in Montana and going to do some bird hunting. Ive got a Brittany Spaniel.

Yeah, we shot a few hens which are legal in that area. Probably one of the few places a person can go that you can hunt ducks and geese in the morning, pheasants in the late morning and then go and shoot elk in the evening. It was a fun trip to say the least.
blu du- does your springer retrieve? Never had a springer before and the retrieving every bird thing has kind of surprised me.

Nice Steph! I don't know about the hen killing though. I will let it slide this time. Nice looking pup...I had a springer once.
Pheasant hunting is my second biggest passion next to sledding. I love it. I wanted to get out last weekend, but I went to my son's hockey tourny instead. I go to SD every year....love it! This pic is from a couple years ago. I am in the middle and that is my choc lab. My dad's buddy is on the left and my dad is on the right.

Headed to Faulkton, SD this weekend for our second hunt. A lot more corn is gone now, should be like lambs to the slaughter.

LOL I went the first week of Nov...all the corn was in. I had to work my a$$ off for em this year. I was thinking about going for a second hunt this year.
We have way, way too many roosters to winter right now. People need to come here and hunt these things. Takes about 5 minutes to shoot a limit. GF&P is thinking about raising the limit to 5 per day. Leave your over and unders, .410's, 16's, and 20 guages at home. Bring a REAL late season pheasant gun, 12 guage something semi auto and a full choke. As for ammo, 4 shot or larger, I like 2's this time of year. 
Legal or not, we don't shoot hens. Future of the population.

You should go again. I heard the same thing today that they(SD)might be up'n the daily limit to 5 a day and pos limit to 25. Heard not as many people hunted this year plus a lot of birds left due to the corn/late fall. I'll take some pics.

None over here. Gotta go to the eastside for that. We usually go once a year over to Wolf Point. It's pretty much all bought up by airlines over there tho
