Well I keep coming back to see if you've recovered them. Any spot looks completely different when you put 5' of snow on it, good luck and keep us up to date.

Dang I would be freaking out, those are some nice sleds to be buried under 5 plus feet of snow!! I wish I was closer, I would love to come help!

Good luck with your sleds, praying they get retrieved soon

Rode that area for the 1st time on Saturday. A buddy who has been riding there for years took me up with his two sons ages 12 and 15. The ride was EPIC as there was 2-4 ft. of new snow. With the boys, we kept it to mostly "intermediate" terrain, but just from this one area he showed me a couple of valleys that if gone down, guys could spend the whole day trying to get back up. In fact, we watched riders working their way out of two of those valleys and I was thinking how glad I was not to be in those groups. The area is either basically logging roads which traverse or hill climbing type of terrain; very little in between type of riding. IMO, The story is definitely believable. I also PM'd the OP and volunteered to go with the next rescue mission with his search party. Thought it would be cool to help dig out the reaper; it's a deep water salvage mission at this point (a lot of snow up there now). Maybe the effort will buy me some more time for days like last Saturday. :clock:smow:

I left one for 3 weeks this year 6-8 ft on it, when we got back to it.
Didn't hurt a thing.
Except my pride that is..

Why did you leave the sled?

How did you mark the sled so you knew where it was even though 6 plus feet fell on it? Pics, GPS , markers ?

Just a skidoo. Should have left it for landfill.

Haha. My daughter wouldn't have liked me much. It was her sled.

We left it cause it died and we couldn't get it started. It was getting dark and towing sleds from ware it was wasn't really an option. Turns out it was a broken wire.

In for the suspense! goodluck with getting them out, will be a narrow timeframe to get them out once the melt hits.

This storm has reported to drop 4-6 feet this week.

Scott what storm haha, just came over the pass and it was 40 and pouring rain! I thought comin home from Winnipeg yesterday that we were gonna have tons of fresh, looks like we got 3-4 ft then it warmed up to 55 yesterday with 20 mph winds and today is no better. Schools closed last week for the cold, this week for flooding ha.

Whadya mean "WHAT STORM?"

LOL

HooDoo Snotel went from the mid 60" range to 125" in about 2 weeks...and that's in SPITE of all the rain that fell up there for about 5 days.

What on EARTH were you doing in Winnipeg? FXR? I can't think of any reason you'd be here otherwise. LOL
