The weekend is almost here, are their any updates? This is kind of like watching a season finale on TV and wondering is there is going to be a cliffhanger that pisses you off until next season.

Well I've reached the limit of my basic membership to read the entire last page of replies to the post. To keep everyone informed, they're headed up today to find them. Hopefully I'll have good news to report later. Any questions to me, please PM me.

Well, sleds have been up there almost a month and 30-40" in the last 5 days. 2 searches already, I have my doubts.

For those wondering, they didn't even attempt to get in and find them this weekend, snow was way to deep to try. Finally some great snow in the NW though!!

Might have to wait till spring to find them now? Unless you have real precise coordinates and can dig down to them.

At this point, I would personally say that I would not go back in without the users GPS and the guy that was with him. 40" without wind and under all those tress you would still be able to see lumps, but yes unless it was a 99% chance I would be bagging it until Spring. I would like to see how insurance plays out with this situation though. Since the OP admittedly left them in the woods, with the keys in them, if the insurance company pays out or not, or what kind of questions they will have etc.

Tune in later...or maybe not till spring for another episode of "as the track turns"....or in this case gets buried deeper:face-icon-small-sho

I would also probably pack in a metal detector....
