Orange 05 M7 stolen from my truck at my home in Castlegar

It had to be some pretty big guys and quite a few of them to get that out over the rails of that truck.

I am thinking it is someone who knows the sled and knows what you have done to it, and they know that it was worth their while to steal it. I don't think it was random. But then again it is BC.

No. Tire tracks close enough to the side of my truck that i figured id find paint on my big tube bumper. The deck in my truck is about 5 feet off the ground, truck and sled were backed into the garage door so the flap was almost touching. No marks in the snow behind the ski's on the slides on the deck. The sled went over the box side, no question about it. No sled tracks what so ever in the snow around the truck. Just some foot prints, tire tracks 2-3 sets of em, and no god damn sled. what stomper said, no stickers on the hood itself, sledjunkys sticker on the screen, riser, side gill style vents, green wheels/springs/stripe painted over, but showing through, 2.5x156" track on a OG 153" sled, Holz a-arms and zero X remote rezi shocks, but you cant see the those unless you really pat attention. Theres more that i can spot it by, but i wont mention that just incase its still in the area and being kept undercover.
Thanks for the heads up for me guys, appreciate it

One more easy thing to spot that isnt easilly changed, Fastlane no snow boards, with the big monster cutouts. Mine at the back are trimmed to go over tunnel foot well braces. Just something else that makes it different. Other then that, no word yet. Hopefully someone will be ready to say something soon here. Still up in the air about the well known low lifes of the area, again, need someone to say or point a finger, then its go time. Thanks alot for keepin your eyes and ears pealed, i got a call from Wayne tonight, saying that he noticed an orange sled along the road by nakusp by a garage, i decided to go and check it out tonight, but turns out it is someones sled from there. Appreciate knowing that people are watching out. Thanks again, i owe all you some beers.

I got my Vector stolen last week out of my locked trailer in Revy. Cops are telling me there's a ring stealing sleds out of Kelowna. Not sure I believe that exactly but same kind a deal clean job clean getaway.

Holy $hit coxy!

I know where you live (buddy lives just down from you) and it's not like it's right on the highway! I leave my sleds on the trailer over night somtimes but won't be doing that anymore! It has to be 3-4 guys at least. Someone is going to spill their beans sooner or later, lets hope!

Let me know if you need a hand and I will let you know if I hear ANYTHING!

On the other hand i see sleds sit out over night which are very easy to take and the people just leave them there, I don't get it!

Best of luck in finding it dude. I will keep my eyes and ears open!

Pretty fuggin sad you cand leave your sled out anymore. Best of luck to ya. They got 2 of my buddies sleds and trailers ( 1 enclosed) last year in Spokane. Personally I think I know who is doing it in my area.

Just drove back from Castlegar on Tuesday, didn't notice any sleds that looked like that on the way back to Calgary. Someone local did it for sure, they knew where to go and had it scoped before hand. It will pop up for sure eventually. Years ago, when I lived out there, a guy I knew bought a local sled for a "wicked deal". He was up the Norn's at the airport, this guy walks over and says - "That's my buddies Wildcat." Calls the cops, turns out the sled that this guy bought a stolen sled and didn't even know it. the guy that "sold" it to him lived in Thrums. I'd put money on it that it is local, keep putting the word out, you will find out that it is in someone's garage in the kootenays. Hope you get it back.

For all you other guys - put some unique identification on your sled that only you and you alone know its there. Sleds can be painted, stickers can be peeled off. I put three little center punch marks in a line on my chassis in a couple hidden spots, on the motor, and other parts where they can't be ground off or found unless you knew to look for them. Takes about 5 mins with a center punch and only you and you alone will be able to identify that sled becuz you know where to look.

Just bumping this back up. Word has circulated pretty good by now, hopefully someone will have something to say soon now. Thanks guys

keeping my eyes open around here.
I had a couple sleds and my truck ripped off when I lived in Edmonton a while back. Wife went to the bank for a 1/2 hr came out and everything was gone! Fricken thieves are ballsy.

Won't your homeowners insurance cover the theft since it was on your property? Or is that a USA thing? I had a brand new CR250 dirtbike stolen out of the back of my truck once back in '97. I had it for 2 weeks, and hadn't put insurance on it yet. It was parked on the street, and insurance wouldn't cover it since it was not on my property. That sucked. I made 2 years of payments on a bike that I rode for 2 weeks. I did not enjoy paying for someon elses fun.

Trav, i hear ya man. Luckily i worked extra long hours last winter/spring in order to pay the sled off..... Homowners insurance wont cover squat here. Basically if it has a motor, your SOL if you chose not to put insurance on the item. I couldnt justify the huge insuance highway robbery at the time, but we'll chalk that up to lessons learned.

Still nothing, coxy?

I have a but fruitvale and will let him know. Same with a guy out the valley.

Never know......

Oh yeah. I wen through that with insurance and thats what they said. No coverage if it's got a motor. Bull$hit if you ask me.

Chaz

Yeah man, i know. Fruitvale and the valley are real good places to have eyes and ears, appreciate that. Are you out in Fairview chad? Assumed it was maybe your place with the XP/Sonoma. But naw man, nothing has changed on the status yet. Just alot of guys on the lookout...bout all a guy can ask for right now.

I am never afraid to call the cops when I see suspicious "parting out" ads. Who in their right mind parts out a 2 year old sled with a strong engine and good tunnel?

anyways, if he sells it in BC you are probably screwed. Because you don't have registration laws, the cops never spot check. In alberta, I have been stopped a few times in popular staging areas to show proof of registration and insurance. An officer told me that most of the sleds they confiscate, the new owner never knew it was stolen.

Beware if you ever buy a sled and the seller wants to meet you somewhere, not at his house.

Wow thats terrible

Early last summer my bike and 2 of my friends mountain bikes, about 10 grand build value, got jacked from Jap mtn in Salmo. Not a trace, suspected around 4:30 AM or so. Maybe you have already heard about that, but they could be related for sure.
