Tomatoes can be grown easily in Utah. My grandparents grew them every year and they lived on the bench. You just have be be careful of the frost when you first plant them.

Nothing vegtable wise grows up here at Suncrest (6250 ft. elev.) Benches are around (4200 ft. elev.) Here are some pics to get you stoked for next year.
