We went up yesterday. Amber's maiden voyage on the Mini Panther... wow that sled rocks, and still looks just as amazing after ride #1...

Stangers Twisted Dragons pull hard, not as hard as his 2010 M1000... that sled is insane, and it only has a 162 under it right now... We had a blast found tons of fresh untracked areas,, and stomped them bad,,,,

snopack is average for early Dec.. 6 inches at 3000', 2 1/2 ' at 5000' and between 4' and 5' up in the alpine. 6000' and 7000'..

awesome base, but very easy to wreck a sled.. lots of stuff to remove parts off your sled... we had great luck and there was no damage, but I heard one guy wrecked his dragon the day earlier up in the Norns,,, stuff is just under if your not aware and somewhat cautious..

Took out the 2010 M8HO Snopro... from Mainjet motorsports, Nelson BC... wow!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing 800 stock sled... funnest stocker I've ever ridden... 3 XP skidoo owners demoed it... Turns on a dime was one quote, easiest sled ever to side hill, was another quote... really fun and easy to ride, with just as much power as an xp was another quote...

I love it,,, hands down sled of the year in my books... I'm running it stock till the new yr... if anyone wants to try it. get in touch with me and we can go out and try it one day over the holidays... seeing is believing!!!!!!!! and trying starts the buying..

Merry Christmas everyone...

4 inches at 2000'
15 inches at 3000'
21 inches at 4000'
4 feet at 5000'
6 feet at 6000'
7 feet at 7000'

awesome base, amazing conditions for late December

Norns near Castlegar and Rossland Range near Rossland...

Happy New Year,,, sledding is excellent.. Road the Rossland Range the last two days and probed 25 different spots..

2000' - 12 inches
3000' - 23 inches
4000' - 30 inches
5000' - between 4 and 4 1/2 feet
6000' - between 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 feet
7000' - between 5 and 6 feet

The Norns range usually has 1 to 2 feet more than the Rossland Range I wouldn't be surprised to find pockets with 9 feet up in the Toilet Bowl and near the Ladybird Cabin..

Rover/Snowater area should be the same too..

The Valhallas must have 9' up at the 8000' to 9000' areas

dan when is a good time to come up. did get up last year but really want to do it this year.

i pmd you an idea i had

rode yesterday up in the Norns.. Amber was putting on her Ladies clinic,,, wow these girls were really picking it up, too bad it was way to foggy yesterday, but they had sun and great conditions Saturday.. Groomed trails are holding up, but there was a lot of traffic and they aren't perfect, but compared to Revy's trails somedays, not too bad...

snowpack in the norns range Jan 11 2010

2000' - 12 inches
3000' - 25 inches
4000' - 48 inches
5000' - between 5' and 5'6"

6000' - 7' --- 220 cms
7000' - 7' to 8'6" or 220 cm - 265 cms
WENT UP TODAY TO SEE HOW MUCH SNOW FELL THIS WEEK, WOW!!!!!!!!!! 70 CMS, OVER 2 FEET ON THE HARD PACKED TRAILS AND AROUND THE LADYBIRD CABIN. SNOWING AND BLOWING LIKE KRAZY, 5 FOOT SNOW DRIFTS ON THE AIRPORT AND THE RIDGE BETWEEN JOKERS AND THE AIRPORT.. FANTASTIC SNOW CONDITIONS, DEEP DENSE POWDER, Ladybird ridge had lots of natural avi activity...

The rain has kicked the crap out of the trail and lower elevation snowpack, but above 4500' or 1400 meters, it's all good....

snowpack up the Norns Range Jan 21 / 2010

firm base windblown, deep and soft in the trees at alpine and below, trails both were groomed Tuesday and Thursday last week and Goose creek held up well, but Ladybird creek got trashed yesterday...

the 7000ft probe mark is at the cabin?? if so theres 3 feet missing off bottom of the pole sence last year. rotted off and hippies fixed it. so wrong reading at cabin LOL, i have a broken 25ft tape im going to put up in the late spring.

not much new snow in the last 7 days, but here's what it looks like up on the norns range.

Nice pics

Nice pics Danny, do we live in God's country or what? Thank you for helping with the club. thx wayne

That was an awsome day Dan! Thanks again. We went up the norn's on wednesday with the girls. A little bit of fresh. Maybe a few inches. Four people went up the trail in front of us. It was groomed like a highway up to the cabin.

We scared the hell out of my mother up on the ridge. My girlfriend absolutly loved it. It will be hard getting out of the house to go on a trip without her now!
